Rental Scams

Sep 29, 2008

I wanted to let others > know of scam that is preying on the Timeshare rental business. > Someone from out of the US requests to rent a timeshare. Once > reserved, the party explains that his company will be paying for > the timeshare and the shipping of his belongings to the timeshare > location. The company sends you an additional $1000 or so to cover > these expenses. The customer requests that you send him the > overpayment. Of course his payment is a bad check but in the > meantime the owner has tied up his unit with a reservation for this > creep.

Gary,I/m not knocking your post and it is good to post this.

This is probably the most used scam on any site and has thousands of post about it on all timeshare sites!

Thanks again for trying to help others!
