Renting a week

If you are purchase a week, what does the process consist of? Payment to the owner of the time share,...what paperwork is involved to confim conformation of your purchase? Is there any guarntee?

Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated!

Are you renting a week (as indicated in your subject line) or buying a week as indicated in your post?

Maybe I am not using the correct terminolagy.

I would like to rent a time share (1week). I am new to this and would like to know when you purchase (rent) a week from a owner, what is the process? There is payment and is there a conformation when you rent a week from the owner?

You can 'search forums' and enter 'process for renting from an owner'. I would insist on a rental contract for sure.

I recommend that after you have the name of the person who is renting the unit, contact the resort to verify the person owns the unit and can rent it out (i.e no MFs are due, etc). The resort will NOT give out personal information, but they should be able to confirm or deny information provided by you.

I would also suggest contacting the person by phone. A legit renter will gladly discuss the details.
