Attorneys General - they work for YOU

Oct 07, 2011

I have had two different internet instances where the Attorney General in those states sent a letter to two companies that tried to scam me. In both cases (GA and VA) the attorney general was on top of it and I quickly received a refund. If you've been scammed by upfront fee resale companies (or any scam company) then it would be in your best interest to file a complaint with the attorney general in the state the scammers are located. They have a consumer advocate department that handles such complaints.

Since we, on various timeshare forums, have gotten this message out attorney's general have been flooded with complaints. In Florida, timeshare resale scams are the number one complaint filed with the AG there going from hundreds a few years ago to several thousand currently.
