I own a time share in Ormond Beach pearl season (2000 points) on even years only. and 12 getaway weeks .Each even year I deposit my week after I may the fees and taxes with II. I use it, but we are at time in our lives we can't plan far in advance and don't travel that often...Where or who do I go to to sell it . Do you need a real estate lawyer ? No idea about closing costs.... actually we got it on a whim in 2000. Would rather talk to someone in person than do it over the internet. Trust issue..How is money handled?

Go to 'Sell or Rent Your Timshare' above and post an ad .... it's very easy.

JRA Services is a reputable closing company. They will hold money in escrow until the transaction is complete.

It is possible to sell a timeshare, but you won't get much for it. I was able to sell my Wyndham points through Redweek's advertising site for next to nothing for them. I was willing to take a great loss, however, to keep from having to continue paying the maintenance fees forever. I found the process quite easy and safe by going through First American Title as linked by Redweek. I felt fairly comfortable with the buyer because he contacted me through Redweek. I started the process the last part of June and got the closing check in the mail yesterday. I might try advertising my Diamond Resorts points if I decide not to use them next year. Meanwhile, good luck.
