Like the stock market, presumably for every seller there is a buyer, and the reverse.

I am interested in the comments of both those in favor and those against buying, as I am considering a purchase at this property.

Thanks, Steven.

Obviously there are pros and cons in buying. The advantage of buying is that if you dont want to vacation in your "home" resort you have the option of using their otiher resorts or you have the choice of converting your week into points that would let you vacation in other resorts all over the world. The disadvantage is that you really need to plan your vacations ahead of time and book your week ahead as they direct in the manual otherwise you have a hard time getting a reservation for specific dates you want to vacation. We are considering selling our timeshare because we dont specifically plan out our vacation dates 12-18 months ahead.

If you purchase, only do so on the resale market as the resort prices are off the charts, and there basically is not much demand for an after market. Per other resorts, it is very difficult to cross transfer to other resorts. For example, St. Thomas is impossible. Mexico and Orlando probably have availability. They are working to accommodate and make matters more practical. The Westin Princeville is in high demand, so you do have to plan to time your stay.

Lovely resort. Plan ahead it's the only way!

You do not get points on the resale mkt.
