Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Has anyone sold their Timeshare using Redweek recently?

I have listed my timeshare here for sale but to date no response so far? Any ideas how I could get this sale moving quickly?

How long ago did you list it? These sales take time. Remember, unlike what timeshare sales people or upfront fee scam artists are telling you, timeshares are not selling like hotcakes. Some owners are having a hard time even giving their units away.

Have you priced it competitively? Are you hoping to sell for what you paid for it? If so, you'll be deeply disappointed.

If you're serious about getting it out of your name so as to stop paying maintenance fees and you don't care about how little you sell for, you might want to advertise that you're willing to give it away. You might have to offer to pay the closing costs (& perhaps even the next maintenance fee).

The problem is there are a lot more timeshares on the market than interested buyers. It's a classic supply and demand problem. So if you try to sell it yourself, it will take time. Ad be prepared to swallow hard and give it away! If you really have no interest in it anymore, why pay the annual maintenance fees?

people are literally giving them away to escape maintenance fee's at many resorts. Good luck!

I checked your ad and you are priced fairly but now you have to wait to find someone who wants it. If you just want it gone sooner rather than latter you may want to advertise it as free with the "buyer" paying all closing cost. If that still doesn't work you can offer to pay some or all of the closing costs. TUG has a bargain forum for people wanting to give away their TS. I think a year or so there was one from your resort.

IMO more people come to Redweek looking for hotel namebrand timeshares and it is harder for owners at independent or lesser known resorts. You could also check if your resort has a newsletter to current owners that take classified. Sometimes current owners are looking for a second unit.

Redweek also has a Bargain Basement for cheap timeshares or give-aways here:
