Purchasing RCI points

Apr 16, 2014

In purchasing RCI points, you caution:

"Make sure you know what the underlying interval is before making a purchase"

I do not understand "underlying interval" Can you please explain?

Thanks, Chris

Underlying interval is the week. Is it a fixed week, if so which week? Is it deeded as a specific week but it floats, if so what is the float season- which weeks can you reserve?

I just contacted an ebay reseller who was advertising 93,000 rci points annually for a week 10. A week 10 at that resort gets 24,000, big difference. Know what week helps you determine if the points shown are correct. In some cases a week may be more valuable not in points and you want to know that too. I own a 3 br Orlando week 52 and although it gets a good number of RCI points it gets over a hundred tpu's when locked off and deposited as two units.
