All well and good, but where are the options for International owners. We feel very isolated in Europe.

We do have a timeshare in Manhattan. We love going, it's easy to book our Hilton room and it gives us a reason to keep going.

MVC used to be a leader in timeshare, now it seems to be a follower. Hilton and Wyndham were into to city properties for years. And also with 1 and 2 br suites.

Not interested, I can easily get a hotel room when I need it in any city from many online booking sites. I own a timeshare to get a property type best suited for a family with multiple bedrooms and a small kitchen that you can't easily get. That is why I am willing to invest upfront capital to buy in. If that is the direction we will not be buying any more units/points.

The Pulse properties are just hotels, not true timeshare properties. We will use Rewards points or MVC discount and pay for room. Do not like the trend of MVC using Hotels as Timeshares just to build points base. Waste of points.

All of your comments are relevant. City hotel-timeshares are not for everyone, but they do offer new options for owners who may want to switch vacation plans as they get older and kids move on. Time will tell whether the availability of urban timeshares increases sales for Marriott or real flexibility for owners. One thing for sure: all major timeshare developers are trying to expand vacation options so people can use points for more activities, including guided tours, golf outings, cruises, theme parks, cars and airplane tickets, among other "experiences." This is another add-on that may prove valuable for some owners. Let us know how Pulse works for you.
