I just went through wynham in orlando and rented a room at a time share..Is this legit??did i get ripped off????????????? Very worried,,,Is this a normal pratice??

This a common practice, in that it gets you in the door. Most TS's will hold some units for this purpose. Many yrs. back when we rented our first TS, I was amazed at how much they rented my unit for if I didn't use it.
