Me and my wife a few years back did away with credit cards, (hurt in short run paid off in the long term) if we rent say a week in Hawaii for lets say $1500 does the resort accept and hold $1500? I am totally new to this so please bare with me as I am trying to plan our anniversary trip, in advance this time.

I think what he is trying to say is how does he provide credit card info to attend the timeshare presentation and receive his free gift . The answer is don't go for the free trip and gifts if that is what you asking .
