Carl: Most timeshare owners have purchased a one-week interval and pay a yearly maintenance fees in order to reserve their week. Many owners are just trying recoup those fees with their rental. If you are willing to pay the full rental price, or the owner is willing to negotiate, then staying for a shorter interval should not be an issue.
