Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

WHY does RedWeek require a three-way conversation to verify change of reservation?

Nov 03, 2025

I am so ticked off. I have followed all the steps that RedWeek requires. I got the name changed. I sent confirmation of the name change to the renter and the RedWeek.com. Renter is satisfied.

Then I get an email saying that I have to participate in a three-way conversation with my timeshare and with RedWeek so RedWeek can "verify the confirmation."

What a completely unnecessary and bureaucratic waste of everyone's time. Isn't a confirmation from the timeshare valid "enough"?

I wrote back to express my frustration. I get another email saying that the timeshare states that since the reservation is now in the renter's name, the three-way conversation will be between the renter and RedWeek and the timeshare.

Thank God. I'm out of this. But NOOOOO! I received a call from RedWeek saying I have to be in a three-way conversation. I was so ticked, I hung up.

So: can anybody confirm that I must do this completely unnecessary step in order to get my rental money?
