cancellation

My daughter and I booked a 2 bedroom lock off villa--- so looking forward to it but now I need to cancel due to a medical situation --so upset -- I am wondering if it is possible to just cancel the studio portion of the villa--- if my insurance pays for it. Has anyone had experience with this?
