While staying at this resort you have an easy walking path behind one of the towers to what I'll term the "main drag" in Palm Beach. Stores, restaurants at all amenity levels, movie theaters, Other hotels, casinos, etc. No need to feel landlocked into the resort. (stevenb375)

At GTL, I stayed in Building 7, and there are three options from Bldg 7. First, walk 1 min to the shuttle and wait up to 15 min to take a 2 minute ride to the very busy Beaver Run Superchair. Second, walk 3 minutes towards the ski rental shop on the resort where there is a little bunny slope to ski/board down for 15 sec, then walk 5 min to the very busy Beaver Run Superchair. Third option, walk 5 min through the resort pass Building 2 to the Snowflake Trail, then ski/board down <1min to the very unbusy Snowflake Chair. To ski/board back...any of the above in reverse, for the most part. (leos73)

Yes you have full access to everywhere on grounds. So even if you stay in one village you can go all over with no problem. There is a free shuttle bus on grounds that runs every few minutes so if you don't have a car it is easy to get around. (sonjav21)

We just returned from an April 7-night stay and a Toyota Corolla (Avis) through Costco Travel ended up with all the local charges after returning it with a FULL tank of gas: $840. Next time we will use the taxis because parking off-site is very scarce (unless you like Wendys). (stevee319)

The main pool is actually three pools separated by water steps. One of the pools is designed for smaller children and is pretty shallow with fountains for children to play in. There is also a fun water slide that children/adults can use which connects that pool and drops you into the lower pool, which is a little deeper. Additionally, by staying at the Hyatt Residence, you receive a wristband that grants you access to the Hyatt Regency pool next door which offers a much larger child play pool with slides and activities. We’ve stayed in a 2 BR at both Villas I and Villas II. One of Villas has a vestibule entry with a separate entry way from the vestibule to the studio and a separate entry to from the vestibule to the 1 BR. The studio and the 1 BR are only connected in the vestibule. The other Villa 2 BR had a door that opened from the studio directly in to the 1 BR. Which Villa has the vestibule entry? Thanks. One, 2 & 3 bedroom condos in the two newer Lahaina & Napili Villas have in-unit washers & dryers, along with full stainless/granite kitchens. Studio (the Lock-off/guest bedroom) guests can use the free washers/dryers located on every other floor in the newer Villas. Guests staying in the original MMOC towers (Molokai, Lanai & Maui) can use the free commercial washers/dryers & new steamer located at the base of the Lobby elevator stack --a short distance from the 3.5 acre super pool. We visited in late March, 2024 and the Safeway, Times Supermarket and ABC store in Lahaina as well as numerous restaurants (Dukes, Mala Ocean Tavern, Kihie Caffe, Sergios Cantina, Leilani's on the Beach, & Hula Grill), and the Old Lahaina Luau, Myths of Maui as well as others were open. Leoda's Kitchen and Pie shop was open and is a MUST stop on your way in as you drive thru the huge canopy/tunnel of trees. Load up on their delicious assortment of pies (Key Lime and their chocolate pie are our favorites). Please be respectful of the people who lived through that devastating fire and may have lost friends and family! Whaler's village is open and has many shops and restaurants. Most of the stores and restaurants that are open were not touched by the fire. The beach, golf course and boardwalk at the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort area where we stayed was beautiful.
