Depends... Do you plan to go out to local restaurants to eat? Or content staying on property. My family prefers staying onsite, WORTH it for our teenagers to eat whatever, whenever and how much they want... Lots of options, something for everyone... We took the shuttle to PB Rose and PB Blanco to experience the amenities, Swimming beach and restaurants there... We definately enjoyed the excurstion but the following year we were totally happy staying at PB Sunset Beach. (owen01)

Just wanted to add, Kahalu’u Beach Park is one of the best water areas to snorkel /swim in. I come back to this island because of this water beach. It has a protective barrier further out in the ocean which makes the cove area calm and avoids water under tows. I swim around enjoying the fish for usually 2hours everyday. You can just float on top of the water, if you want. It’s truly my “happy place”. (karenc1416)

Capri by the Sea is located on Pacific Beach. All the units are ocean front and have a 180 degree ocean view (west). In addition to the 180 degree ocean view, corner units have a side window that faces north or south. All units are accessed by elevator. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the beach in a cap ride. A 20 minute walk more or less... and there is a shuttle that takes you to the beach everyday, except on Saturday. (niae2)

While you can walk down the hill - past the golf course - to the beach (maybe 1/2 mile to the water) there is a shuttle bus that runs ~ hourly. fun to just ride it to see sights. And there are a number of other beaches in a short drive (valm69)

The beach is approximately 1/3 of a mile. However, because the property is large, depending upon where you are on the property, you could end up a walk of up to a mile. The resort does offer scheduled shuttle service to the beach, along with nearby dining and shopping. (vhines)

Each grouping of villas/buildings has their own name. Ours is Sunset Bay and they are the only ones directly on the beach! You watch the sunset from your balcony, then smell the beautiful ocean air and hear the waves lapping on the beach while you sleep and greet every morning with the ocean again!
