Villas in both towers are furnished and decorated exactly the same. Lahaina tower: the southernmost Marriott resort building, has an actual lobby. Oceanfront view is of Lahaina town, the islands Lanai and Kaho'olawe. Napili tower: the northernmost resort building -- closest to Whaler's Village, one of largest open, green lawns along the main Kaanapali Beach, has its own bar. Oceanfront view includes islands Lanai and Molokai. Both towers face a wide, sandy beach and a relatively shallow, warm ocean channel that serves as a nursery for baby whales (calves) and a playground for pods of spinner and bottlenose dolphins. Both towers have quieter, meandering pools with hot tubs, waterfalls and towel hut. All guests have access to the centrally-located 3.5 acre Super Pool with grottos, waterfalls, slides, sand-bottom Pirate ship cove, bar, Iive music, pool food & beverage service, Starbucks, carry-out food, & full-service restaurant. We prefer the Molokai Tower, highest floor and closest to the beach, facing the big pool (southeast?). The other side, or the other tower facing the big pool (northwest) gets hot afternoon sun. We’ve owned two Maui weeks for over 20 years and 2022 was the first time we got a room on the other side facing the newest tower and pool, and the afternoon sun was very hot plus there were marauding teens roaming Kaanapali beach at night and visiting the swimming pools, making lots of noise. Ocean front is at the west end of the buildings, closest to and facing the water. Calling it "ocean" is a stretch since the view is the water between Maui and Lanai and, to the north, Molokai. To the south, you can see Molokini Crater. Depending on which tower you're in, Molokai Tower get a nice bunch of sun all day on the "Ocean View" and you actually face the pool but look across the landscape to the ocean. "Garden View" looks to the golf course and mountains rising to the east. (patrickm639)

No, neither unit is ground floor. The unit number scheme identilfies that. All (x0#) units are located in the Phase 1 Tower (the original tower). Where 'x' = the floor number, '0#' is the unit number. Floor 1 (ground floor) is the lobby/check-in). Floor two is the entrance to the fitness center and the interior entrance to the spa.Floor three has a house keeping storage area and the common use laundry facility. Units start on the 4th floor and go up to the 14th floor. (So, 'x' ranges from 4 to 14.) Each floor has the same floorplan. '01' & '06' units are: 1BR, 1 balcony, 1BA, King Bed + Sleeper Couch, Occupancy of 4 . '02' & '05' units are: 1BR, 2 balcony, 1.5BA, King, King Bed + Sleeper Couch, Occupancy of 4 . An Ocean side view is typically in the Lighthouse tower and above a certain floor number. This is the tower that sits closest to the Ocean. You will be assured of getting a sunset or sunrise view depending on the side of the building you are staying at. (stevenb375)
