This is our favorite timeshare on the California coast and we have stayed in 15+. What we love so much about Blues Whale is the location, beach, and the small size of the project, 14 units. It is located in a very nice part of Oceanside, a few feet from the sand, and a short walk to a wonderful pier (might be the longest in CA). Some of the rooms. which are located in the front, make you feel like you are in your own private little beach house. You enter the unit from your porch that looks right at the beach. With all the units, you park right next to your unit, it is so easy to load and unload. The beach is wonderful, excellent sand, tables and volleyball right in front of the unit (a little off to the side, so it does not block your view). The property is very well maintained, always clean, and very friendly! The grill area has tables to eat at that look right at the water. We highly recommend this project. Many people like to say "It's the best kept secret and lets keep it that way."

This is a wonderful, "older" resort which is great for couples or familys. Walk out of your room right on to the white sand beach! The pier is just a 10 min. walk down the beach one way, and the marina a 10 min walk the other way!

Rooms nicely furnished and the staff is freindly and helpful. Towels, chairs and beach equipment are all available for check out (no charge). They have VCR's in every unit and numerous movies to choose from (Again, no charge).

The office has lots of family board games and a small library for avid readers to sit on the beach and enjoy the ocean view.

A small Barbque area right up in front makes having dinner a fun event while you watch the strand parade and the beautiful sunset.

This week is for Unit 11 which sleeps 6 in 2 Bdrm unit with a great oceanfront view. Walk across the street to the beach and return to enjoy the amenities of the resort. Check out the activities in the area or just relax on the sand and enjoy the surf.

Very pleasant quaint family oriented place on a quiet strip with little traffic close to the peir. Very friendly staff. Well equipped units. Excellent service.

Quaint timeshare in a perfect location in Oceanside. Just steps to the sand, and an easy walk to the pier and harbor. Units are clean and have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The Manager Larry, is always friendly and helpful Housekeepers do a wonderful job keeping this place clean. There are many restaurants within walking distance to the timeshare.

This lovely, quaint, timeshare is just steps from the sand with a gorgeous view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Walking distance to the pier, restaurants, shopping and movie theater. Less than an hour drive (or even a train ride) to San Diego theme parks. Perfect for a family vacation!

Great location within walking distance of beach, recreation harbor, pier, downtown with wonderful restaurants and breweries. Just across from beach with wonderful sunsets and great beach for swimming and playing. Reserved parking for you car on site.

Right on the Beach, Walking distance to the pier and beach life in the city. Quiet, Cozy and very private.

What a nightmare! Stay away from this place!

First off, there is no wifi. The unit is also very small and outdated.

It is very near the beach which sounds nice, until homeless people come up to your door while you're having breakfast with your children and try to beg money from you. Or people are playing their music loud on the beach until late at night.

Last thing, the management is shady. We cleaned the room for over and hour before leaving. Taking out trash, vacuuming, etc. The place looked nice. After that, management still charged us a $300 "fee" for cleaning. This is, in my opinion, a scam run by the manager. I personally cleaned it and there is no way it took more than a normal cleaning job. However, they must be trying to prey on people who don't check their credit card statements or don't know how to dispute.

In short, there are a lot better locations in Oceanside and Carlsbad. Stay somewhere else and avoid this mess. Stay somewhere where management is professional, you don't have to put up with vagrants and you can have some peace and enjoy vacation!
