i want to rent the large 1 bedroom villa for 6 nights, arrive March 17, depart early morning March 23. All the rentals a re 7 days . can this be booked for only 6 days

Since they must pay maintenance fees to use this week every year, nightly rentals are not often available. However, if you are willing to pay the full weekly rental price or the owner is willing to negotiate, staying for a shorter interval should not be a problem.
