Palmas del Mar is a gated resort community with very high-end real estate, both homes and condos. Club Cala is the only timeshare in this community; the location is premier! The units have all been recently updated and they are well maintained. The current manager has been doing a great job! The beach is a short walk and is lined with palm trees. Great place for a relaxing vacation.
Really great location at Palmas del Mar (Eastern end of PR)~ Really attentive and pleasant attitude from all the personnel there ~ Would return happily anytime. Units were spacious, older BUT recently updated, well maintained and the location was fabulous. A tropical "Remote feeling" beach was a 1 minute walk - even hung our hammock 1 afternoon amongst the palm trees 20' from the water and hardly anyone came by - Really felt like we were in the Pacific around Tahiti! Went horseback riding to another beach on property (Which is some 3,000 gated acres). Free transport to Sheraton w/ small casino minutes away, but within the property. Nice golf course and tennis club. Went to rain forest and Flamingo Beach in Calebra by ferry ~ 2 "Must do's" when in Puerto Rico. OVERALL an extremely relaxing vacation.
Beautiful and clean surroundings. Good staff service front desk 24/7. All you need for a comfortable stay. Palmas del Mar is a gated community with beach, tenis court, golf court, horses, lot of restaurants and a hotel.Recently remodeled.
We've been going to Club Cala for 10 years
with our family, and we love it!!It's truly a
relaxing vacation.The beaches are beautiful,
there is plenty of restaurants, and the entire
resort has undergone renovations.We
recommend this resort highly.
We were recently at Club Cala, (3-07), and
found this resort completely redone. We had
a 2 bedroom, 2 bath villa at Harbourside, and
it was beautiful. 2 pools, activities, shopping,
restaurants, casino.
The resort is on the Caribbean, with 2 golf
courses. Loved it!!
This is a resort that has seen better days.
Worn furniture, shabby interior. No beach to
speak of--very little sand and lots of seaweed,
no facilities at the beach (no chairs or
lifeguard). You must walk at least 1/4 mile to
it.
Very remote, a car is a must, and there are
few places you are allowed to park. Golf cart
rental for transportation around the resort is
$45 a day. Hotel that had a beach club,
casino and restaurants is closed down
indefinitely. Pools are nice, but no snack bar.
Units are very spacious, staff is very friendly
and helpful. Timeshare portion is tiny--mainly
a residential development for locals.
I have stayed at this resort three times, and I
must say this is one of the nicest resorts in
Pureto Rico. The golf courses are some of the
best in the carribean, with the layout designed
for all levels.
I stayed in a two bedroom unit each time and
find them in outstanding shape, and furnished
nicely. Like most casnios they like to take your
money, but the staff is friendly and helpful to
those trying to learn a new game.
I would reccomend this resort for families and
couples. The beaches are wonderful.
