The resort was fine, most of the staff were friendly and helpful (not the concierge), the unit was clean, and the amenities were okay, but the Noisy Fireworks on the Seaside Beach were extremely annoying and disturbing, and they were done well after 10 pm, and several even after midnight (1- 2 am). A few times they were so loud (and after 2 very disturbing fire alarms sounded and the buildings were evacuated, and well after midnight (1 am and later), we honestly thought a propane tank had exploded next to or inside the building. The Noisy Fireworks were blasting at least half of the nights we stayed here during the week. We finally called the front desk, only to be told there was a city noise ordinance about quiet time after 10 pm, but there was nothing else they could do. I called the non emergency police line, and was told they couldn’t do anything either, since they didn’t know who was doing it. On Thursday night 7/23/26 they were doing very large fireworks at least 8-10 times—not just firecrackers, but certainly M80’s or stronger, and some were illegal aerial (so it was easy to see the group launching them), but the police couldn’t find who was doing it?? All they had to do was send an officer to the beach and it was obvious where they were doing it and who was doing it. Extremely disappointing. We won’t come to this location again. The city needs to get their act together, and the resorts need to put pressure on the city and the police department to act. What’s the use of making city noise ordinances if no one does anything about the problems?
