Just got back from a one week RCI trade Sep. 2014. Don't know about the "vertical and horizontal" stuff. Called the Miramar Las Palmas when we stayed. Time shares and these condos are a very small part of a much larger (huge actually) older development, most of which are houses and lots. They are planning a new "fractional ownership" development so they will try to get you to do a sales tour. . .

We enjoyed our stay. Townhouse style 2 BR condos with a 3/4 bath up (no tub) and a very tiny half bath down. Place was practically deserted so we had the pool all to ourselves. Beach is a short walk from condos and is nice. The town of Coco has cleaned up this beach in the recent past. Saw schools of dolphins feeding right off shore most mornings. Howler monkeys near the beach too. Town is a lively, kind of gritty, fishing town full of friendly tourists and ticos. Plenty of good resaurants within walking distance although I recommend renting a car to really see and enjoy the area. Be aware! Renting a car in CR is a pain. Google "renting a car in Costa Rica" to see what you are getting yourself into. Insurance is about twice what the car rental rate is! Ouch...

Lots of cool beaches down the Nicoya coast. Recommend a drive to the Tamarindo area. Several nice beaches. Lively surfer town.

No extra charges or taxes with this trade!!! Getting to be very rare with RCI trades.

    Would definitely go back.
