Re: Re: TRYING TO GET OUT OF MEXICO TIMESHARE

Well, don't feel too bad. I worked in Mexico for many vacation clubs. Guess what? None of the resorts own inventory? The timeshares (vacation clubs) simply make reservations. The resort is owned by a different company. So, there is no reason to be paying a closing cost or maintenance fees on pure AIR. Worst yet, many of those companies do not have business licenses in Mexico or throughout the Caribbean. They are simply travel clubs with no discounts as you are paying more than the general public for the same unit. If you stop paying, it will never show up on your credit report because Mexico businesses do not have relationships with U.S. credit reporting agencies. Mexico vacation clubs are not financial institutions with lending rights under truth and lending laws. Here is the proof: Look at your most recent credit report and you WILL NOT see any mention about a Mexico timeshare.
