I am also considering buying at Westin. My biggest choice is between new and resale; voluntary and mandatory. We plan to use the StarOptions to visit other places. I can buy a 2 BD L/O EOY with 148,100 StarOptions and 100,000 incentive points plus another 80,000 Explorer points for $24,700 at Westin Lagunamar (Platinum). Plus, there are little perks: Gold Card, no II annual fee, SPG points. The prices I see for a similar used 2Br unit at Westin Kierland with 148,100 pts. are between $15 -25,000. I realize a big difference is resale value, but I plan to hold this 7 - 10 years. I look forward to your opinions
