Defaulting maintenance payment on Timeshare

[Q=nancyw71] I have a timeshare in Mexico. It is not deeded. Does anyone know the consequences of just not paying the maintenance fee?[/Q] It depends . Most Mexican timeshares have offices in the US just so they can make sure that they can make it a little more difficult to just walk away and can a nd will report nonpayment to credit agencies. Your first step should be to contact the resort and see if you can get your membership cancelled.
