Contact your home resort and see if they will take it back through a " deed back ". I got rid of two timeshares that way. You have to be persistent and make sure you talk to the person who handles those transactions. I told them in no other terms that I was going to get rid of my timeshares with or without their help. I advised them it was in their best interest to work with me and possibly save themselves thousands of dollars in legal fees and lost maintenance fees. You have to be your own advocate sometimes. You also have options if they don't cooperate. I posted a hypothetical solution in the General Discussion thread. Desperate people are their worst enemies. If a lot of people get frustrated and walk away from their timeshares it could devastate the industry. There should be an exit strategy for people wanting out. They are creating their own trouble by not helping people out.
