One problem is that reserving a particular week, especially a high demand week often needs to be don3 10-12 months in advance for most timeshare resorts with float or point reservations. Most renters especailly to drive to locations don't start looking until 3-6 months and sometimes less before check in. A time when most prime reservations are long gone. Owners need to guess on popular week. Paypal does almost nothing to protect the timeshare owner renting out especially when paid by CC. The CC almost always sides with the card user even when a contract is in place.
