Wow, you may have a challenge. If your father in law's timeshares were with a Mexican or other foreign owner group, there is no obligation to his heirs at all, if they choose not to honor those obligations. Many times purchasers of these long-term and high esteem resorts and amenities appeal more to sentimental considerations for others, more than the buyers. Good luck and our best to your father in law.
