Resort Condos Plus - anyone? (by Bill H.):

I was contacted by Riley Tyler yesterday, a loan specialist of Resort Condos Plus saying he could sell a timeshare week I had for around 17-18K, much more than I paid for it. He wanted $1450 to be paid after he had the buyer financing locked in. I told him the money should be taken from the buyer during closing, and that amount was too much for a title search. Since I had never heard of Riley and his company I would have to look into who he was and his company. He called me again today to close the deal, yet when I said I was still checking on him he changed his tune and said another seller had taken the buyer's offer. He wanted to keep me on his calling list for future transactions. Reading what has been posted here it seems this business is a scam and Texas Attorney General should be examining their operation for fraud. Certainly a subject for investigative reporting!! The old saying "If it seems to good to be true, is probably is." Buyer beware.
