Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Any suggestions for unloading a timeshare

Jun 22, 2009

I am looking for the quickest and easiest way to just unload my timeshare. I am done looking to make any money off of it. I own it outright and I am honestly just looking to give it away. Does anyone know of companies that will just take a timeshare from you for no cost and try to resell for a profit?

You can donate your time share for a tax deduction. Here's the website

There are other agencies that take timeshare donations, but charities will only accept timeshares that they know they can quickly sell. So if you had trouble selling it, the charity probably won't take your TS.

If you own a TS which is at a popular resort during a high demand season, the charity will probably accept it.

RedWeek has a "Bargain Section" for cheap resales. The TUG ( www.tugbbs.com ) has a thread where TUG owners can list a "Bargain Deal". The TUG Marketplace (www.tug2.com/timesharemarketplace) also has a Bargain Basement section.

You can also list your TS on eBay, bidshares, and craigslist. To further entice buyers, you may want to pay for any closing costs or transfer fees.
