Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

FYI if you are considering traveler's insurance

I received the following information from insuremytrip.com: I copied and pasted the information exactly as it was relayed to me.

"...but the following(traveler's insurance companies) have responded that you CAN insure your prepaid and non-refundable trip expenses, including a private timeshare rental:

CSA Travel Protection Travelex Global Alert TravelSafe American Express

As you are aware from our discussion the other night, TravelGuard and Travel Insured will not allow this expense to be insured. "

From my own experience, TravelGuard will tell you they insure timeshare rentals, but after reading the fine print of their contract, then contacting them and questioning them on the fine print, they finally disclosed that they DO NOT insure timeshare rentals.
