RCI affiliated resort ownership

I am considering purchasing a unit for sale at Resort at Cocoa Beach. It is a RCI affiliated resort. During a presentation to purchase from the resort I was explained the rewards system. If I bought from them I could turn my week in their resort in for rewards to use at other destinations around the world. If I buy a resale at their facility can I participate in the rewards program still on RCI.com?

I am not familiar with the rewards system. Are you asking about RCI points and points partners using points instead for things like hotels and car rentals?
