Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Tips On Buying and Canceling Mexican Timeshares.

Dec 03, 2014

There are many great timeshares in Mexico and worldwide that would make a great vacation place for families but note timeshares are not usually an investment to make money but to make your vacation easier and more comfortable. Unfortunately there are timeshare groups that exploit the law and families that are on vacation. The trend seems to be growing not just in Mexico but Central America, Caribbean and Bahama’s. When on vacation we tend to let down our guard, ignore common sense, tend to be more trusting and this is what many of these timeshare scam/rip off groups take advantage of. A more important point is that the foreign countries do not have the same laws as the USA, Canada and Europe. Basically the timeshare representative can tell you anything the feel they need to make the sale but if it is not written in the contract then it does not count. Think about that.

NEVER buy a timeshare from a developer. Why buy a timeshare when you can rent one from an owner for less than they pay in maintenance fees because they found out that the sales rep lied to them and they are now stuck with something they were promised was different. Read through the threads and you will see how many people were deceived by developers and their corrupt sales force.

Do your homework and don't become the next victim to come back to the forum to tell your horror story about being lied to and ripped off.

Exactly .... the written contract is the only legally binding word in a court of law.
