Marriott's Sunset Pointe

Liked the smaller, quieter atmosphere. Shuttle service (free)will take you to beach (1 1/2 mi. away) or shopping/restaurants nearby. Shuttle always arrived 5 minutes after calling for them. My teenagers could come and go as they wished and I could stay at the beach. This was nice. Marriott has nice beachfront area and bathrooms on beach for use. Some minor construction in progress but this did not bother us. Room was recently remodeled and was both clean and large enough. A few upkeeps were needed (light bulb out/telephone static) and maintenance quickly responded. If you don't mind not having an ocean view, this is a great smaller resort. I would definitely return to this resort.

Disapointing for a Marriott. Units are small and condition was average as of 2004. We had plumbing problems for most of our visit.

We traded our Barony Beach Christmas week for a summer week here. We were very pleased with the trade. This resort is conveniently located in the center of the island and within walking distance to Shelter Cove. There is a free shuttle to the beach. It is a very quiet resort compared to the Barony so it was an excellent choice for 4 adults. It is also good for familys as it has daily activities just like Barony for the children and teens. The property was very clean. The staff very pleasant and helpful. The villa was beautiful. Combo VCR/DVD player in the living room. Great balcony overlooking Broad Creek. The nicest master bedroom we've had. Many good restaurants are in the immediate area and the location makes it convenient to go to either end of the island in a matter of 15 minutes. We so enjoyed this resort that we have already traded there for next summer.
