a LAID-BACK private setting. Large units, comfortable with huge wrap around decks. If you like to fish, dive, boat, or just relax this is the place to be. If you want to party, clubs are adjacent as well as shopping and lots of restaurants. Coconut Grove and South Beach are less than an hour away. Key West is 100 miles down US 1, one of the most beautuful drives in the U.S. Many famous sites to see along the way. Yes they are some ants! Tiny little Sugar Ants that don't hurt anybody. There are also harmless Geckos (not Geicos the insurance company) but the the little lizard logo they adopted. That is why they're NO ROACHES! Also, some birds, doves, wild parrots, parakeets and mocking birds - that sing a lot!

Was there week 43. Units are very large and open with full wrap around deck. Very relaxing vacation. Although the TV's were not new flat screen models, they were fine and being on vacation my desire was not being saddled to the couch with the remote. Key Largo is not the Key West party scene but with John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park located right there you will be treated to the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the world. If snorkeling is your thing try to go to Banana reef it is fantastic as well as the Statue of Christ. Fishing is also great, deep sea, back country and party boats are all right there at the marina, which is steps away. Port Largo does not have all the bells and whistles but the units are comfortable and clean. Key West is a beautiful short trip with many sites to see along the way.

I am basically leaving this review for the people that haven't been to Key Largo and this resort. If you haven't been there, don't go unless you are looking for a very laid back vacation, have a boat or do alot of boating. It is very spread out, nothing like Key West where everything is within walking distance. Very little shopping and night life.

Now for the resort, the living room/dining/kitchen area's are very large however they need an updated entertainment center, large tv's (because the ones in the rooms are soooo small). There is evidence of the age of the resort especially on the deck area. All that aside, I cannot tolerate ants in a room of any kind and they were in the kitchen and the master bedroom which just turned me off. I would have given the resort a 3 star but couldn't because of the ants.

If you are a diver or a fisherman, or just want to relax and enjoy the sun, the water, the wild parrots that fly free, in a small, quite, laid- back tropical paradise, this place is the best of all the timeshare resorts in the Florida Keys. One of the ONLY resorts in the Key's that has boat docking - at your villa. These villas are huge and vey comfortable. Originally built as whole owner condominiums for about $150,000 in 1980. Prices now are $1,000,000, if you could buy one outright, which you can't! They are updated every year, and are 1st class! Very relaxing "quite" atmosphire but close to anything one could want. Shopping center, resturants, bars, marinas, scuba diving shops, yachts, diving, fishing, even gambling. All at the crystal clear waters of the "only living coral reef" in the United States! Includes "free" parking for autos, boats & trailers, a very rare amenity in the Keys.

Huge villas! Great location! Very relaxing, easy going atmosphere!

Next door to Marina Del Mar and Ocean Divers, "rated as one of the best dive operations in the world". Also, Coconuts an "award winning resturant and night club with a beautiful indoor and outdoor bar and deck overlooking the marina & yachts from around the world and the largest swimming pool in the Keys!

We have spent two vacations at Port Largo Villas Resort. It is a wonderful resort.

The Management team is excellent.

The boat slip has easy access for many great water sports, which are just minutes from the shore.

We look forward to many happy returns!!

We traded our timeshare weeks in New Orleans to stay here for two weeks last fall. It was wonderful.

The units are huge. 1600 sq ft and the balcony wraps around 3/4 of the unit.

The master bath has a jacuzzi tub and two sinks.

The kitchen has all modern appliances and it also has a washer and dryer in the unit...no quarters needed. Marcy and Keith Myers are the managers and they are extremely pleasant.

Joy, the receptionsist, is outgoing and friendly. They all make you feel like family when visiting Port Largo Villas.

Boat slips are available for a minimal fee, the pool, hot tub, tennis court, basket ball court, all are clean and well maintained. Bicycles are available for those who like to ride, and the gazebo has two large grills that can be used for cookouts.

It's was a wonderful two weeks. Fishing was at the back door, as was snorkeling, diving, and all kinds of water activties.

I recommend Port Largo Villas for a terrific vacation resort.
