My first time to at the Renaissance was in 2005, came here because we got a great deal. Turned out to be a fabulous deal and we bought a timeshare when we were there. We now own two weeks, one in May and one in September! The resort is great, and is now completely renovated with everything brand new!! The staff is the best I've ever dealt with, and I'm not being biased as I have been to many resorts. They just always seem willing to offer you any assistance they can. Plenty of restaurants and bars, never too crowded, except for happy hour of course! Just a great place to spend your vacation whether you just want to relax or go crazy!!

Great resort. Quiet and, with the beautiful Private Island, unique. The Private Island can only be accessed by guests, so it is as safe as can be. Great spot for kids, and adults too, as there are two separate beaches.
Note to prospective buyers HIGH SEASON FOR INTERNAL TRADING PURPOSES AT THIS RESORT IS WEEK 51, 52, and WEEKS 1-15. WEEKS 16-50 ARE LOW SEASON.

Resort is currently going through the renovations, they are on floors 4 and 5 at the high room number end. The pool won't be started until August and the say the renovations will be done by year end but I would be surprised if that happens. We'll see. Looking forward to next year to see the completed project. Still had a great time and the construction has not a a major negative impact yet.
We spend 2 weeks here every may and love it! The resort could use a facelift but it appears that they are working on that. We love the island, its people, and nowhere will you find a better selection of good and very good restaurants. We have been coming here since 1995 and see no reason to go anywhere else, let me know if you agree or feel otherwise, have fun and bob bini!

We returned, August 9th, from 2 weeks in timeshare, our 11th year. We return because there is nothing else on the island that is as unique as the Renaissance and its surroundings. To stay in either the low rise or high rise hotel section of Aruba would be the same as staying at a Holiday Inn at Myrtle Beach.
Absolutely make reservtions for dinner at Pinchos Grill & Bar. It is on pier over the water with best sunsets in Aruba and is a mile from the resort with easy walk over new boardwalks along highway.
We have made friends with the local people and look forward to going out with them every year. We stay in contact throughout the year. It is like family.
This is a fantastic place and we are glad we made this choice a few years ago. We have expanded our stay at the Ocean Suites from one week to three weeks. It is an Aruba experience and safe, very safe; as is the whole island.
