LaCabana is just starting a multi-million dollar renovation of all the rooms. We own at the resort and absolutely love it. The personnel are very friendly and helpful, and even before the work, the rooms are in good condition. There is plenty to do here from all-day activities to lying on the beach or by the pool. Don't forget the happy hours!!

We stayed at La Cabana for our Honeymoon in November, 2006. We had a great time! We had a ground level room right off the pool. The first night we visited the bar and watched NFL Football on TV and met some great people who we hung out with all week. In the morning we would go to the beach or pool and them come back to the room for lunch. Every afternoon we played Bingo at the pool and it was a blast.

The room was nice, service was good. We cooked in the room several times and we had a range, microwave and fridge which was all nice. We found the service to be adequate overall and the resort to be more than adequate. We home to return soon.

May be one of the worst places in Aruba! Damp, Moldy, smelled like bug spray! Would not recommend! JR

Have traded to La Cabana, for the last 7 years, and recently purchased two week's from a private owner!

We have never had any problems with mold, dampness, in any of the rooms, except for one.

This was one of the one bedroom units, facing the Amsterdam & ocean view, 2nd floor.

We were told it was due to previous visitors leaving the balcony door open and creating moisture in the room. Therfore creating the smell of dampness & mold.

It was taken care of immediately . After putting a Dehumidifier in the room and allowing it to run for a few hours, it cleared it up.

I am sorry for any problems that anyone has had and I am sorry that a negative opinion was formed on this visit on the entire resort because of a bad experience.

I assure you that all rooms are not with mold & mildew.

I highly recommend this 5 Star Resort to everybody.

we are visiting Aruba for the 9th time, we own timeshare at LCB. At first we had fixed weeks but now we own bluegreen points which makes it possible to go whenever we want to. We love the island, and are going to be there much more often.

My husband and I loved La Cabana! We have been to Aruba several times and high rises are nice, but low rises are more personable. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make your stay wonderful.

We just bought a unit there! That's how much we loved it. The pool is great you meet some great, friendly people while getting a super tan.

The first time we were there was week 39, kids break, what a circus- no parents. Now only LCB owners can use the pool, Villa's are separate! We enjoyed the food, great price for all inclusive, great buy if you enjoy your drinks.

Not a 5 Star but you will find Happy, Down to Earth people who like to have fun! That's what vacation is all about!

This resort is HUGE and lovely. Fabulous location on the beach and rooms are quiet yet face the ocean. Excellent "happy hour" deals for three hours in the afternoon making sunsets great...if you can leave their extremely oversized pool. Also great programs for the kids. The staff is superb in making your stay incredible. HIGHLY recommend this resort.

We staryed at LaCabana BRC (not the Villas) from June 18-25. We had a terrific stay! We rented 3 connecting units (AB&C) that faced the pool and ocean. We had no problems with the rooms. They were cleaned everyday and everything was in good working order. The staff at the resort were terrific - so nice and helpful. We highly recommend staying at the BRC (not to be confused with the Villas in the back).

The LaCabana Beach and Racket Club is always wonderful. The people that work there seem to love there jobs and are very friendly. The food on the islands resturantes are great . We have been owners at the LaCabana for 10 years and hope to go there forever. The beach is one of the 10 best beaches in the world. The water park that is being built next to the casino will be a big plus. Having the Dunkin Donuts next to the pool is great in the morning and the groceries stores that are as good as ours at home (on the way to town) .

We just returned from LaCabana Beach and Racquet Club, we rented a Band C unit over the Easter break. I was a bit concerned that this was their busiest week of the year and at full capacity, that the resort would be over- crowded. I found that the front section, closest to the beach, where we stayed, was much nicer than the Villas in the back. The rooms were cleaned daily and we had no issues with the units whatsoever. I did, however, hear constant complaints from other guests staying at the villas, issues ranging from pre-arranged connecting rooms not being honored at check-in, to smelling/musty rooms, to leaking ceilings.

We chose Lacabana because of the All-inc option, but once we arrived, decided not to take the all-inc, and were glad we didn't. There are TONS of fantastic restaurants in Aruba, and the restaurants at Lacabana are only so-so. The Islander Grille, serving burgers, salads, etc, was the best - Captain's Table was a huge disapointment

The location of this resort is also ideal, halfway between downtown, where the cruise ships come in, and the "high-rise" resort area, another good location for restaurants. This is not a 5-star resort by any means, and there is no nightlife whatsoever. However, it was a decent resort on one of the top-10 beaches in the world, Eagle Beach. Considering the full- capacity of the week we were there, I was pleased at the accessibility of lounge chairs and Palapas on the beach.

Just returned from Aruba. My family and I were supposed to stay at La Cabana for 5 nights. When we arrived, the room was filthy and smelled of mildew. Everything in this hotel is old and in deperate need of a makeover. Even the elevator looked pre-1950's. There was sand all over the cold tile floors. Pubic hair was left in the tub upon arrival, the toilet had permanent stains and the 13" TV's barely worked. Also, the casino was closed and will be closed for the next several months.

We stayed one night and after waking up with bug bites all over us, we had to leave. Luckily, our travel agent transfered us to the Hyatt which was wonderful.

I would not stay at this resort even if they paid my airfare and gave us a free room!!!

Just returned from lacabana. We had a good time and love Aruba and this was our 2nd trip to the Island. The resort was ok. The staff were friendly. Checking in was long and painful after hours of travel. The rooms were clean but showing their age. The TV worked intermittently depending on weather interfering with the satellite dish. You have to cross a highway to get to the beach. Finding chairs or loungers to sit on was a daily irritation unless you were on the beach by 6am. The loungers that you did find were in need of serious repair. The beach was clean and water lovely. It seemed easier to get a chair by the pool. There were a lot of seemingly unsupervised children in the pool and jacuzzi area. I think the parents thought there was a communal effort in effect to watch their children and there were so many people so how could their 4yr old possibly drown!!!This is an accident waiting to happen. The food was not great, avoid the burgers they tasted like meatloaf with a lot of filler. Salads were good. The lobby coffee shop did good coffee, sandwiches and desserts. The Captains Table Restaraunt was poor. Aruba is not a gourmet experience. We were on the ground floor and the hallway to our timeshare was very noisy. The entrance to the timeshare was directly into the bedroom. The rooms were cleaned every day which was a plus and plenty of clean towels were available. Appliances were in good shape and worked well. Plenty of entertainment was provided by the resort and we enjoyed the daily bands.

GREAT RESORT! THE NICEST IN ARUBA AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED AND I'VE STAYED AT A FEW IN THE PAST 10 YEARS. I ACTUALLY PREFER THE ODD NUMBERED ROOMS NOT FACING THE POOL SINCE THEY'RE MUCH QUIETER! VERY CLEAN, FUN FAMILY RESORT... THE LOCAL RESTAURANTS ARE GREAT SO I WOULD SKIP ANY MEAL PLAN.

Fantastic resort! Rooms tend to be small, but you really spend most of the time outside anyway. Proper room selection is critical - the villas and suites are situated in a horseshoe shaped 4 story building. All of the even number units look inward (toward the pool, activities, and beach). The odd numbered units look out onto the road and parking. The first floor units have a patio and can walk right out to the pool (that's what we had and we highly recommend it). What they don't have is a view of the ocean - if you want that, get a fourth floor even number unit.

Restaurants at the resort ranged from good to very good. We ate most lunches at the poolside grill - good sandwiches and salads. The tapas restaurant in the courtyard was our favorite. The Captain's Table inside is OK. There are a ton of really good restaurants in Aruba, so we didn't use the all-inclusive dining option.

The resort is a $17 cab ride from the airport and there is a bus that stops just outside the resort that will take you downtown for $1 each way. Cabs to other restaurants are $6 to $7, so you really don't need a $40 per day rental car unless you really want it.

We would definitely go again!

we own a time-share for 2 years now and it is really a wonderfull place to be. the resort is fantastic, lots to do, directly on the beach. The staff is very friendly and they remember you from the year before. They are always willing to please you and make your stay as pleasant as possible. We sure will visit again next year and the years to come, because it's the no. 1 place to be for your holidays.

I absolutely love Aruba. It is my favorite island in the Caribbean. La Cabana is a very clean, convenient, resort. The rooms are big and there is a lot to do at the resort. The beach is the best on the island. Would highly recommend.

This resort is just wonderful. My husband and I just returned from Aruba. We stayed at the La Cabana and did the all-inclusive package. There was a wide variety of restaurants and bars and was quiet at night. My only complaint was that when I was hungry at 3 am, there was nowhere to be found open.
