We just returned from our visit to this resort - stayed in a two bedroom. It was "adequate" - but not a 4 star place. The furniture was OLD and uncomfortable - worn down. The unit needed to be redone. It was worn.

The amenities were nice and the location was super - that is its biggest draw. The pool was crowded and is too small for the size of the resort. We used the laundry but mainly went into town. My sons used the fitness room and again, its minimal but "will do." The master had a jacuzzi bathtub and shower.

This is an okay place for a week, but it is not luxury. We would return again but would NOT buy there. Wyndham is switching over to points and it would take about 300,000 points to get the same unit we rented for the week. We would only rent and would not swap our deluxe resort for a week at this place. Its fine to see the area.

We just returned from vacationing in Newport. Our unit had a 2nd bedroom but I don't know how comfortable more than 2 people would have been as the living room was quite small. There was no closet in the 2nd bedroom and very small dining area. No washer/dryer in unit, altho laundry was free in the next building over. Front desk staff was very helpful. You could walk everywhere from here.

Spent weekend at Long Wharf to attend Chowder Festival (6-2-07) with family. We found our 2bedroom unit clean and ample for our visit. No view of harbor, limited rooms have that option. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. In the unit some found the AC system loud and the toilets flush as if on airplane. WHHOOOSSSHHHH The outside pool was clean and refreshing, towels provided in the unit to use. Kitchen had stove, fridge, microw./toaster.coffee pot..dishwasher. Since I own at Newport Onshore, its a trade off what you gain/lose. Would stay at Long Wharf again, since its located in town, and walking distance to town. Plus game room was nice with pool table, air hockey and a few other games, coins are needed. Also the theatre has movies offered as well. BBQ grills available if you wish to cook in. Enjoyed our weekend very much.

Great location, great pools...3 bedroom, a little tired looking. But all in all it was great, stayed in September, outdoor pool warm. Great location.

We stayed at this resort in mid-August 2004 and had a great time. We had a two bedroom suite and it was really very nice. Full kitchen, two full bathrooms, two big bedrooms and a large living room. The maid service everyday was great.

Parking was a small hassel. We could only park one car in the lot for the first 4 days and had to put our second car on the street and pay the meters. By mid-week though we were able to park both in the lot. This certainly would not keep me from staying here again.

They could definately use a few more washers and dryers for the size of the resort.

The pool was very nice. My daugther thought it was fun that she could swim from inside to outside and back again.

The proximity of this resort to downtown Newport and the Visitor Center was great. All within walking distance.

All in all, we had a great time and loved the resort. We would definately stay here again.

8/1/04 - Date of Visit: 7/16/04

Very nice resort. We were very happy with large rooms and cleanliness. Daily maid service. Full kitchen with full refrigerator, stove, disposal, coffee maker, blender and all utensils. Staff was friendly, young and not completely informed of area. (shops, some local directions).

Very convenient with short walk to downtown Newport, yet quiet and out of the way. Very family friendly! Two activities every day for kids with minimum cost. ($4) Pool was a little over crowded at times because it is also used by the Inn on Long Warf. Unit lacked washer/dryer. Had to go to one room on third floor. Could use more washer & dryers for amount of units! Mistakingly charge a few extra activities to our room, but they kindly removed them once I notice the discrepency.

I would easily rate this a 8 out of 10. Highly reccommended!!

Our family spent three nights here this past July and would recommend the resort. The rooms were up to Fairfield standards, with a nice nautical theme. The pool area was very nice, complete with gas grills and picnic tables.

The resort is located across from the wharf and is a short walk from the public transportation depot for Newport. Since we were not familiar with the city, we found the daily family pass for the trolleys and buses to be a great way around the city during the summer months (avoiding crazy drivers and little parking). Some of the drivers even gave us a lot of info as we traveled between points.

Newport has a tremendous amount of areas of interest. Our family especially enjoyed the Cliff Walk, Tennis Hall of Fame, and the shopping.

Great location but facilities are somewhat worn. It has been through several ownership changes and is currently owned by Fairfield so updates may take place.

The resort is beautifully located . It is close to center of the action in Newport but far away enough not to have to deal with too much noise during the busy season.

The suites were spacious and had all the necessary amenities: dishwasher, micro, etc as well as a one person whirlpool tub in the master bath.

The resort sports a heated pool that was full all the time. The pool is accessed indoors in the winter and in and out in the summer.

Only draw back was the children running unsupervised through the halls, yelling and thumping. Other than that, it was a great place to stay!

Units are very spacious and staff is friendly. This is family orientated which may be a negative for those couples that are looking for a quiet get away. Exercise area is small and equipment in need of repair.
