We have stayed at Royal Vista the past seven years. Great location and friendly staff. However, the units are showing their age! The dishwasher and clothes washer in our unit needed repairs. The maint. man said the appliances were going to be replaced, but we shall see. They also reduced the amount of dishes and cups in the !br deluxe units. It appears that Wyndham is cutting corners.

Royal Vista comes with only the finest, blue ribbon recommendations. Our family of 4 stayed here December 26, 2008 to January 2, 2009 and we will return in the future.
Unit - Number 4403 Weather - perfect, 80 degrees every day, warm enough to swim in the ocean Room - one bedroom deluxe, full kitchen, washer/dryer, second bathroom, oceanview with deck Staff - friendly and courteous Amenities - great beach, tiki bar with music, pools are clean and heated and a mini-market has everything you need. Fitness Center and business center with Web access add icing to the cake. Landscaping is fantastic. Groceries - Publix Grocery stores are less than 2 miles away. Parking - free and covered in the parking garage Other - beach chairs and cabanas are rented on the beach with a contractor Under the Sun. Under the Sun staff is also wonderful to work with.
Overall, this resort has a great location and is arranged for a wonderful, relaxing vacation. Again, it comes with only the best of recommendations.
Thank you Wyndham Royal Vista!

Great beach. Units are spacious and comfortable. Two bedroom/ two bath unit in building A had fabulous oceanfront views from balcony extending the entire width of the unit. Fitness club nice, but pools are small and crowded. Beach is the better option. Building is beginning to show its age and could use some updating.

Nice wide sugar sand beach right out the front door, lots of room on the beach even on spring break. Volleyball nets on the beach and one of the two pools. Not all units in the B building have an ocean view, we had a north facing balcony with a nice ocean view. If you can get into A building all ocean front! Guests have access to three computers in a room adjacent to the main lobby. Very friendly staff and clean units. First three levels of B building are parking garage. Excellent work out room, 3 TVs, water cooler, and beach view. Good location, Las Olas Blvd. only 15 minutes away, take a harbor tour to see the Venice of America, 3 companies to choose from. We stayed at Royal Vista for one week after being at the Sea Gardens down the street. What a great resort, right smack on the ocean with a super large tiki bar and music... a large pool near the ocean, another pool off to the side and unfortunately a children's pool which never got used even during school vac. week when we were there. All the kids were in the other pools... and there's no outside hot tub. (They should rip out the kiddie pool and put in a hot tub.)
A nice little restaurant on the site open only until 5 or 6 p.m. but great for lunch by the pool -- twice a wk. the restaur. owner has a BBQ with burgers, etc. but skip that and get a grilled pastrami or corned beef sandwich on another day - simply delish!
Our 2 BR suite had a side view of the ocean in 2 areas, and it was nice on the deck watching the waves roll in. The furniture was light, bright and we had a nice sized kitchen, eating table... and the LR had a sofa & 2 chairs. The master BR had a king bed, good-sized bath with a washer & dryer behind louvre doors (they give you detergent), and a very big shower. The guest BR had 2 big beds, another large bath with tub & shower. Sometimes I used that bath to shower while my husband was in the other bath.
No internet service in this resort, a disappointment - but they are talking about getting it soon. They do have some computers in the lobby. They could provide better access as to how to get your messages on your suite phone (it's in the large notebook they give you, instead of by the phone), and give the correct # to call service people who arrange activities, as the wrong # is in the notebook.
However, the entire staff is so helpful & friendly, you hate to complain about little things. We wish we could've had 2 wks. at this resort. There's a parking garage attached on both sides of the building. There's another separate building closer to the water which blocks some of your ocean view from the deck. We did a tour of both buildings and they are so beautiful.
We loved Royal Vista and hope to return again sometime. -Carleen & Ken

In my several visits, I have found Royal Vista to be an outstanding resort. Its position right on the beach makes it very difficult to get in at peak times. I do not know what happened to the person who lost his reservation last year, but it is very unusual. My dealings with Fairfield have been outstanding. The many activities at Royal Vista, along with its beachfront makes it the best vacation spot in the Fort Lauderdale area.

We had a confirmed date to rent several months in advance but one month before arrival we were notified it was cancelled. they would give no reason or even discuss our problem. We had already made airline reservations and car rental. We would never do business with Fairfield again.

Nice place outside by pools. Cruise like activities planned. Rooms could use an update, furniture falling apart, several things did not work (stove burners, frig not cold, shower pooled water at bottom) , although the staff was quick to fix. Small charcoal grill outside for use, 2 pools one heated, tiki bar - great banana daquiris, no hot tub outside. Not crowded while I was there in May 2005. No housekeeping with my rental and towel exchanges on certain days, you bring and exchange except one day. Expected a little more but was overall ok stay.

Stayed June 18 thru 25 in One Bedroom Deluxe. Right on beach had oceanview from room. Great ativities for kids and adults through the week. Unit was large and nice except they have a small ant problem. 2 Adult pools and 1 baby pool. As i was leaving they was installing new gas grills that will be available to use. Went fishing through there sister resort the santa barbra and it was only $75 a person. Had a great time overall

Positive: Oceanfront, wonderful beach, great rooms (more like apartments), in room washer and dryer, Kid friendly
Negative: Kid friendly, extremely noisy a/c in rooms (a/c units are located in closets with louvered doors), noisy atmosphere - Jet Skis in ocean, screaming kids, small pools. Conclusion: Terrific for families - not so great for couples.
PS: I should have done my homework and found out school lets out in Florida much earlier than NY.

Stayed at Royal Vista in March,2004 and found this to be one of the best timeshares. The rooms were large and very clean and the staff was the best. Rented through Redwishes for the first time and will continue to do so if I need another unit. Everything went perfect, from checking in to activities at the resort. I own at Fairfield in Newport RI and they run a first class timeshare. Can't wait to go back. Barbara from Pa.

This is one of the very FEW places (Condos, hotels included) I've ever stayed at where EVERY thing actually worked flawlessly. The staff was SURPERB, so polite, attentive to your every request. I can't speak for every unit, but ours was simply beautful, you could tell it was very well mantained. Both the beach and the view are beautiful. I will plan to stay in the same unit next year.
