We've been fixed week owners at Sea Gardens for six years now - and continue to return because we just love the resort. Sure it has some things that need to be repaired, I'm sure all resorts do. They took a big hit when Hurricane Wilma came thru and are still continuing to repair the units that were damaged the most. But the staff always delivers cheerful smiles and fun activities every single year. The area offers plenty of things to do - with a beautiful beach across the street to great restaurants and shopping only a few minutes down the road. The gardens are just glorious...and you have your choice of four pools to choose every day! We love Sea Gardens and will continue to return every year.

Had a trade here 3/29-4/5 and we were quite disappointed. While the resort appeared to have some nice rooms, ours was unpleasant. We were located in the North Cabana building on the first floor. We were 12 feet from the pool out our front windows and five feet from the resort dumpsters out our back windows. We were unable to open the blinds on any window which made us feel like we were in a dungeon. The 1 bedroom unit had 2 baths, full kitchen, but was very small (about 360 feet). The floors were ceramic tile which were cold and sandy. There was no rug--even on entering the unit and we had to use the bathmat as a rug on entry to the unit. While the resort is very large and has 4 pools there was a serious lack of pool chairs and they had to be reserved early in order to enjoy the pool. The hot tubs had alot of debris. The resort was not well cared for and we were told that it is still dealing with damage from hurricaine Wilma (several years ago). We were invited to give comments about the resort in excange for a cruise and dinner--we agreed thinking it might be helpful to them. When we had our meeting we were given a piece of paper to write our concerns and that was the end of attention to that. We were immediately engaged in a sales presentation for Wyndham points--that was a bait and switch. We said no and they were curteous. We excited awaited our dinner cruise and arrived to watch the boat leaving the dock. The paperwork we were given following our presentation had mistakenly given the incorrect time for departure--they apologized for their mistake and offered to mail us dinner coupons to our home. We have not received them yet and do not expect we will ever see them--so BEWARE. On our return home we discover several exchangers who were scheduled to take a shuttle bus to the airport which never arrived. Fortunately we were able to bring them to the airport and they were able to get their flights. While much of our experience was unpleasant, we did find the beach very nice and enjoyed the ability to go the the sister resort Vista and use their pool and fitness room. The fitness room at Sea Garden was in poor condition. We also attended and enjoyed the Laua at the resort and did meet some nice guests. In summary, we are not likely to return to this resort.

We stayed at the Sea Gardens for one week in Feb. 2008. The pool/garden area is just beautiful with palm trees, flowers, water fountains, hot tubs all around the area, loads of lounge chairs at the pool. Our suite was in the big building, with 7 or more stories and attached to the 4-story parking garage that you need to press a code to get in.

Other sections of the resort are adjoining both sides of the pool/garden area and if my memory is correct, they are 2 stories with stairs (no elevator). There's a Tiki bar for cocktails and Karaoke entertainment, other activities, a BBQ out by the Tiki bar. The other area is across the street with another pool and right on the beach, although not all units are facing the ocean. We talked with a couple staying there and they are nice but not large units. Our suite was spacious - good-sized kitchen, LR area, eating table area, very big master BR w/king-sized bed, a large jacuzzi, very large vanity (lots of room to put your "stuff"!) and a separate bath area with a super huge shower and the best water pressure we ever had; a guest BR with 2 dbl. beds (that we didn't use) and another bath. A washer & dryer off the foyer too.

The view at night on the balcony was beautiful, all the resorts lit up everywhere and we could see the canal with boats whizzing by. Only disappointments were no internet service (we had our laptop) and no VCR, just a DVD player... I brought some programs I recorded and couldn't see them. Check-in at 4 p.m. took a while, long line. We attended the presentation and got a free boat ride on the Wyndham's private yacht down the canal to see the gorgeous mansions on the water, plus a free dinner at Joe's Riverside Grille and it was delicious. We'd been there before for dinner just a few nights prior. We met a lot of nice people on the boat... you bring your drinks - alcohol or whatever and they supply the setups. Really nice resort, and they have loads of beach towels in the linen closet for you to use. Checking out was fast and they told us we could use the pool area for the rest of the day if we wanted. We enjoyed the resort. Carleen & Ken

We travel every year to Pompano Beach, beachs are great! The Sea Gardens is our favor place. From the large yat, to the simplest item it is fun. My kids have grown, now my wife and I, used the B. section of our large A.& B. appartment; and rented out the xlarge one bedroom. We just have to go every year to this magnificent and active location. It has so many ammenities, and great beaches. Thank you Sea Gardens! Phil and Vicky.

We stayed here in 2006 in the Ocean View rooms, was a wonderful stay. We decided to come back in 2007 and was in the Waterfalls South building, Never again will we stay here. Construction was going on everyday with them drilling starting at 8:00AM, asked if we could be moved to a different building, Manager said she would call us back never heard anything back from her, not to mention that the room was nasty when we arrived, Shower was dirty, mirror was broke, and the A/C made a loud noise. The Tiki Bar was suppose to stay open everyday till 11PM, they closed everyday at 4PM. The main pool was nasty with an oil film over the entire pool, with trash at the bottom. If I were you I would double, triple check before arriving here or even staying here. We wont be back!

One of the best things about this resort is all the in-house activities they offer. They also sponsor tours and other excursions. We found the folks very friendly. You are also centrally located for just about any other South Florida activity you might have. Enjoy!

We own a timeshare and exchanged our resort weeks to stay here. Although the resort was very beautifully furnished, our suite was dirty. The light colored area carpets were soiled and we found dirty personal items left behind the bed by previous tenants and inside of kitchen cupboards were dirty. We had to leave our room for several hours until the suite was re-cleaned. Outside grounds were found to be very beautiful.

Location of this resort was not the best. You had to drive everywhere.

Was very disappointed in the food at the resort. Menu entree included french fries, and the waitress brought out a bag of potato chips. Not impressed.

With all of the other resorts available for exchange, we would never return to this resort.

We have just returned from staying at Sea Gardens on Week 10 after renting a unit from an owner in a Waterfalls AB Unit. We thoroughly enjoyed this resort. The staff were more than friendly and helpful. They accomodated any request we made of them. The Unit is roomy- the A side has a good sized kitchen equipped for six, with a table for four, a four piece bath, a large living/bedroom- one end is the bedroom with a queen sized bed, bedside tables with lamps, and the room is divided (no wall) by a fold out couch and there are two easy chairs and a 32" TV with VCR and stereo system. The B side is smaller. There is a door between the Units. There is a king size bed, 19" TV, VCR, closet, a four piece bathroom, and a mini kitchen with small frig, two burner stove with no oven, but microwave and sink and is equipped for four people. This set up worked out well for us as we had our son and family with us and we old folk could retire to our own side and leave the rest with some privacy also. There was a large balcony off both rooms that looked out on a beautiful tropical garden and parrots and doves were plentiful. The resort has many fun type activities that all members of the family can enjoy. There are three heated pools to enjoy as well as a cold one near the ocean. One is very busy (Cabana Pool) which is close to all the action but if you want to get away to a quiet area to read, sleep, etc. there are two other areas that you can go to. We loved this resort and hope to return. We found the other guests very friendly and we all made new friends.

The owner and rental transaction were great. The pools were nice and had different accommodations depending on the building it was located next to. We were here on Christmas and Glenn (front desk manager) helped Santa arrive on time after our flight was cancelled due to weather. They were short staffed and coming in contact with good people always make vacations a little better.

The only disappointments were; the health club, most of the equipment was broken and it looked like a temporary facility in the parking garage; the grill next to our building (Key West) was pretty tired, although by the main building and Tiki bar the grills were awesome. I also challenge you to get extra beach towels...ha, ha, ha, not a big deal just an observation.

All in all, I would come back to this property.

Stayed for a week in January of 2004 in an effficiency type unit that was spacious and clean. Plenty large enough for a couple. The ammenities were great and the staff very helpful. Highly recommend this property.

We stayed here in 1999 and we were not on the oceanside. We had to cross the street but that wasn't too bad.The grounds were beautiful and we really enjoyed ourselves in the lounge. When we were there they had Karaoke going on and even though we don't participate it was quite entertaining.Would recommend it.

IF you're lucky enough to get in the oceanfront Studio building, you're view is unbelievable!! The ocean is literally steps from your unit. The studios come with a fully equipped kitchen, a deluxe size bathroom, king size bed, sleeper sofa, private balcony and a dining area for 4!! We find this resort well maintained, well managed, and the studio units are large and roomy enough for two! This is truly a Gold Crown!

I found our suite to be quite large and luxurious (on the intercoastal side). I liked the pools on both sides of the resort. The little snack bar/store was convenient as well!

6/30/04: Redweek has thoughtfully changed the pix they were using from that of Ocean Palms to the Sea Gardens units. The tall high rise in back is the Ocean Palms. The shorter units in front are the old Vacation Break units of Sea Gardens, managed by Fairfield.

Transport offered by Fairfield to the Santa Barbara (Free Yacht tours), The Royal Vista (oceanfront), and the FF resort name for golf & harness Racing is Palm Aire...a mixed use facility, including T/S, Hotels, Condo Apts, and private housing.

The picture Redweek is using is what Fairfield now calls 'Ocean Palms'. It is about 3 blocks behind the Fairfield Sea Gardens units. You will probably not be in this building if you get a Sea Gardens unit

A few of the Sea Garden units are on the beach. They are converted motel units (as is most of the Sea Gardens- so rooms will tend to be small- but not in the building pictured). The rooms were worn a bit when we were there (winter 2001)

If you do not get a beach front unit, all other units involve crossing A1A (a major road through Pompano). There is a light for pedistrians.

Picture two rows of buildings (motels) running back two blocks toward the intercoastal. These have been converted to beautiful rooms, and a fantastic garden & swimming pools separate the space between the buildings. At the very end is the Fairfield Ocean Palms (was also called Sea Gardens until recently).

Fairfield owners who trade/rent ( bring owners cards) are able to use the facilities of the Fairfield Santa Barbara (includes their yacht), and two other Fairfield properties. (This was conveyed by sales associate- ask first), one on the beach, and one across from Pompano Harness Track- where there is a golf course. I forgot the resort names.

In any case, unless Seagardens is the only available, I would try Royal Palms if you need FF beachfront

This resort consists of an older low rise section with two swimming pools and a newer highrise (see photo) further away from the beach closer to the Intercoastal. A limited space between the buildings and the pools is nicely landscaped but offers little elbowroom for young visitors. The beach accross a busy street is, of course, a public beach. The area offer a wide choice of shopping, restaurants and attractions.
