Wyndham Bali Hai Villas

The new Presidentail unit are amazing. We bought a timeshare in 2007 and stayed in a brand new 3 bedroom unit. It is new and clean andvery upscale. Princeville is one of the most beautiful places I have I have ever been.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom March 6-13, 2008. A newer property (still building) that is up to date inside and out. For example, there's a wall mounted, flat panel wide screen LCD TV in the master bedroom. Units have DVD & VCR players. One of the better equipped kitchens I have seen. They even give you some Kona coffee and microwave popcorn. The unit is very large and was very clean. View from lanai was of the beautiful grounds. Very friendly staff. I think folks should be aware that there is NO air conditioning. I always read that the tradewinds will keep you cool. That is true if the resort is on the ocean and you have an ocean front unit. This resort is not on the ocean. My first floor unit didn't experience the trade winds. There are a lot of ceiling fans (man made trade winds) and you can be relatively comfortable, but it will still be humid.

FREE WI FI, but you have to ask for a code card at the check in desk. It was high speed and reliable.

There are a lot of great beaches for swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding on the north side. None are within walking distance, but you need a car to get around on this island. You can drive to some of these great beaches in less than 10 minutes. Try Anini Beach east of the resort or Hanalai Bay and Kee Beach west of the resort.

If you are a golfer, you will love the golf courses. If you are a walker/runner you will like the walking path around the golf courses.

There is a Foodland and a good restaurant in the Princeville Center. Some people miss it because it is between the east and west entrances to Princeville. They come in the east and go back out the east (if going east) or the west (if going to Hanalei) and completely miss Princeville Center. It is only 5 minutes from the property. The Foodland even has a complete liquor store. While the prices are high, they are about as good as you are going to get on Kauai.

Except for the lack of air conditioning, I highly recommend this property.

I stayed here Nov. 12, 2007. The resort is very beautiful and made you feel me feel like I truly was in paradise. I stayed there for a few days and had to switch to a different unit due to the upstairs neighbor whom was still on eastern standard time at 3:00 am for 2 days with small children pretending to be spider man. Nevertheless, excellent service, amenities, location, the library, and small shops. I would like to return but on the top level next time.

Beautiful and clean -- inspite of the chickens. Chickens and cats run free all around this island. I would go again.

We own two 2 br units and love vacaitoning here. The views are breathtaking and the pool is the best. We particularly like the hot tub with waterfall and lava sand bottom. We have 6 children and the washer and dryer is a great asset.

This is in a beautiful location (Princeville). It has everything in the kitchen. Beautiful view.

The first and best vacation my husband and I ever had together. The unit was excellent, very light, airy and comfortable. It was kept very clean, and the staff was great. We're selling ours only because we don't have the opportunity to use it anywhere near as much as we used to- we will miss it!

This resort is Gold Crown all the way. The units are some of the nicest we have ever traded into. The two bedrooms are separated by the living, dining, kitchen and laundry areas. This provided our guests, as well as the two of us, with privacy. There is a patio for the second bedroom, as well, plus the door from the Master bedroom leads to the main patio.

The gourmet kitchen has all of the necessary equipment and was a joy to spend some time for breakfast. We used the barbecue grill at the clubhouse several times as well.

It was nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit for cleanup after a few hikes. The whirlpool bathtub was big enough for the two of us.

The swimming pool is filtered and a beautiful waterfall flows into the pool, which looks like a tropical oasis. It was just a beautiful sight, we must have taken a dozen pictures of that area alone.

All of the staff was exceptional, especially Kiki, the activities director. We enjoyed going to the clubhouse every evening for Mai Tai's. Needless to say, we walked back to our unit after enjoying those delicious mai tai's.

Sept. 19 - Sept. 26, 2004.

This resort is located in an outstandingly beautiful location on the north shore.

The accommodations are average and the room was not cleaned very well. There was all kinds of kleenex and other stuff under the bed and between the bed and the night table which looked like it had been there for some time.

There was gunk on some of the knives in the knife block in the kitchen as well...

Our room was no. 224 and backed onto an extremely busy road so with no air conditioning and the doors open it was horribly noisey!!!

The pool is quite small!

Do not expect luxury at this resort, however you are in Hawaii and hopefully out sightseeing most of the time.

Do visit the Princeville Hotel just down the road at least for breakfast as it is absolutely gorgeous, and with the most spectacular view as it is on a cliff.

Also, take Captain Andys catamaran trip in the afternoon along the Napali coast, snorkle, and see the sunset...Truly amazing!!!

Absolutely loved Kauai and will definitely return but for more than a week. Even though it is a small island there is lots to do.

Great resort. Stayed there 2/1/04 to 2/8/04. Do not worry about the no A/C in the units, you do not need it. The tradewinds are wonderful. We had to close some of the vent blinds in the evening and never turned on the ceiling fans. Some construction but they start about 9 am and stop at 4 pm +/-. The new units they are building will have a much better view of the ocean. Golf is unbelievable. Pool was cold but the hot tub near the water falls in the pool is wonderful. Concierges are very helpful but over loaded, it takes awhile. Did the timeshare presatation, low preasure sales people. Unit was very nice and laid out well. The views are great but ours did not have an ocean view. Our unit (one beadroom sleeps four, king bed an queen sofa) had a great view of the mountains. I would return in a heart beat. Almost bought one.

Beautiful unit, very clean and very comfortable. Some noise because of construction, but office staff was very accomodating and placed us in a quieter unit. Everyone was very amenable. Be sure to attend the activities meeting. Lots of informaiton on kayaking trips, snorkeling, and helicopter rides. Aloha!
