We just came back from a week at this resort (June 21-28). We really enjoyed our time at
Shawnee. The room we had in Depuy Village was great for my husband, myself and two kids ages 4
and 5. It had a huge wrap around porch that the kids enjoyed. They could go out and ride their
scooters or play and we could easily keep an eye on them. We had a two bedroom unit with two
baths and the dining area/kitchen were great. Shawnee is a large resort made up of many villages
so if you are looking to walk to the pool, rec area, this is not the place for you. You definitely
need to drive. We didn't mind that at all. There was a nice mini golf course at the resort which
we used several times. There were also other activities for kids, families and adults offered as
well. We made ice cream sundaes one night and I know they had movie nights, bingo etc. There
are great restaurants and attractions in the area all within a short driving distance like Bushkill
Falls, outlets, Camel Beach, Land of Make Believe and even the Crayola Factory was only 1/2 hour
away. We had a nice dinner at Alaska Pete's and there was a great Italian place for pizza and pasta
right across from the Rec Center. If you are looking for a peaceful, woodsy, rustic resort that's a
great place to take the kids or go alone w/o your kids, then I'd recommend it.
