We purchased a unit here sight unseen and this year was our first visit. The resort is set way back from the main road and is very quiet. The staff here were awesome, always friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and our kids tried the lazy river. Even though we rented a car for the week, we used the free beach shuttle. The driver was nice and always on time. Surfside beach is beautiful ... the water is warm and the sand is clean.

We rented bikes a couple of days, and rode around the resort and small residential area nearby. Met some people walking dogs and exercising and they were friendly too!

We are thrilled with our purchase and can't wait to return!

We stayed in a two bedroom – two bath unit in the Presidential Villas with our family. The facilities are old, but very well maintained. By timeshare standards today, it was nice, but certainly not outstanding.

The unit was very clean, modest in size and had a full size – fully equipped kitchen as well as a washer and dryer. King bed, Jacuzzi and shower in the master bedroom. The sink was in the actual bedroom which was kind of odd, but no big deal.

The second bedroom had two queen beds and a separate full bathroom that also opened up into the main hallway. Both bedrooms opened to either a patio or balcony depending on what floor you were on. We had a patio since we had requested a first floor room and our request was honored.

The resort was built in the middle of a residential golf course community and unfortunately the golf course has been closed for a while. So, what would have been beautiful views from the back patio was more weeds and goose droppings. There was as narrow body of water between the units and the “golf course” and my granddaughter loved watching the turtles, ducks and geese.

The highlight of this resort is the water areas. There is a great water area with sprinklers, pouring barrels and a lazy river for the young and young of heart as well as a nice sized swimming pool. Both were within walking distance of most units.

The shuttle service to the beach was great. Nice large shuttles, not little vans. Always prompt and clean. We used them just about every day even though we had a car with us.

Surfside beach is not in my opinion the best area to stay in Myrtle Beach, much nicer and newer resorts towards the north end. But, our stay was enjoyable and I have nothing really bad to say about the resort. It is a very good place for families not looking for the most luxurious accommodations, but wanting clean and reasonable. There were lots of activities to do every day for the kids and some for adults too.

We did the timeshare tour and it was low pressure and the package of “gifts” was as good as I’ve seen in a while.

I’d recommend for families, but not for couples looking for a quiet peaceful resort with the luxurious surroundings we have become somewhat accustomed to.

Wonderful resort with spaacious quality rooms. Very clean, overall the resort is very well kept. The landscaping is immaculate, with every kind of blooming flowers. We enjoyed the million dollar swimming pool, lazy river, and water park, playground and health club. The large indoor pool is great for a break out of the sun. Sit on the balcony and overlook the lakes and beautiful golf courses and fountains! All kinds of activities for the children. Surfside is only 3 mi. from Myrtle Beach and much less congested. Presidential Villas are the newest of all the bldgs. in the resort. Not being directly on the beach is not a problem, shuttles run every hour, just step out of the condo and get on the shuttle. This is a Great Resort!! Resturants, Resturants, very near by and shopping at Broadway at the Beach was a blast as well as Brookgreem Gardens!!

We stayed here in April of 2007. The resort has great amenities and the units are OK. We were vacationing for two weeks in SC one week in Hilton Head and one week in Myrtle Beach. Having gone to Hilton Head Island and staying at a fantastic resort, we found the Myrtle Beach area to be a bit boring for our lifestyle. If you like to party and drink, Myrtle Beach may be fun. If you like a more family based environment, I would go for Hilton Head.

The indoor pool was great as it was too cold most days to use the outdoor pool areas - which were far superior to most pool areas I have seen. Had I not had such a fabulous time in Hilton Head, this would have been a great stay - hence the reason for the four star rating.

Fantastic resort with spacious quality rooms with lots to do and situated only three miles south of Myrtle Beach, the family entertainment capital of the Southeast. One mile from the Atlantic Ocean beaches. there are shuttles to the beath .On site, enjoy the million dollar swimming pool, playground, and health club. Myrtle Beach area has about 100 golf courses and your surrounded by them at Presidential villas . Great outlet shopping, the Pavilion, Broadway at the Beach, Carolina Opery, and Bookgreen Gardens is a artists delight. Only problem with this resort, which is an owners advantage, is it is not on the ocean but for Hurricanes sake that it good.

It was immaculate and beautifully landscaped. I appreciated housekeeping supplying us abundantly more than any other timeshare we've visited. Settling down after a long drive was great since we didn't have to rush out to the store. It is so peaceful here. You can wind down and enjoy your unit sitting on the balcony overlooking the lakes on the property. The indoor pool is very nice with a Jacuzzi that will boil your skin right off your body if you can't stand the heat. They do have kid's night for the little ones which would give you and your significant other some quiet time. My daughter loved it . . . it's like she got to go out without mom and dad.

We preferred staying in Surfside and driving to Myrtle because it was quiet and not cramped up in a congested area like on Ocean Blvd. It's about 10 minutes away from all the action, but totally worth it. It rained every single day on our vacation and we still had plenty to do without going to the beach. It just gives us an good reason to come back again!

We stayed in a two bedroom at Presidental Villas March 20-27, 2005. The condo was clean and well maintained. We did not participate in the scheduled activities. The indoor pool is large and nice. The outdoor pool is heated. This is a family oriented resort. A car is a must to enjoy the area as it is spread out. There are many seafood restaurants and a few good seafood markets if you want to cook your own dinner. There are barbecue grills on the side of the building. There are two golf courses on the property. The only drawback was the cooler than normal weather. The resort is very large with alot of units and we prefer a smaller more secluded resort for our vacations.

Stayed at this resort last May/June - picked a bad time to arrive, end of Bike Week. Extremely crowded - traffic backed up hours long.

Resort was attractively furnished, clean and in perfect shape. Front desk staff friendly, and looking to sell.

Nice location, close to Murrell's Inlet.
