Great family resort! Golf, swim, explore colonial Williamsburg, dine and relax. An easy drive from both the north and the south!

This is one of the best resorts my husband and I have ever stayed at. Beautiful, quiet, CLEAN, the best staff, spacious villas, breath taking sights and lots of fun. A WONDERFUL VACATION for a couple or entire family that won't break the bank. You have to stay there to really understand the beauty & fun it offers.

We love this Marriott resort and its location near Colonial Williamsburg and other historic towns and landmarks.

Golf Courses and rolling hills and kid-friendly activities have been a joy for us for many years.

Unfortunately, we must sell our weeks due to various recent events in our lives. BUT we have already reserved 2 weeks that include July 4 for a new owner to enjoy in 2009!

The nicest resort in the whole mid Atlantic region. There is nothing even close to the Manor Club for golf, swimming, proximity to the sights, beauty of the surroundings and upscale villas. Unfortunately for us we have to sell our weeks.

Just back from a one night stay in a lock-out unit.

The unit is absolutely beautiful as are the grounds and golf course. The bed was more comfortable then ours at home. Very close to anything you might want to do in Williamsburg (and there is a lot to do!). We visited the Williamsburg Winery then ate lunch at Gabriel's Tavern. Also shopped at the Prime Outlets. Would definitely go back and would even consider buying here.

We just returned from a weeks stay in late May. The resort is very tranquil. It is a small facility, which was great for us. It was quiet during the day, we were the only ones at the pool. Golf course and grounds were beautiful. Front desk was very helpful, and pleasant. Only a few rooms in each building. Very quaint. Would absolutely go back.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit in the older section. Unit was big, well furnished and quiet. Ford's Colony has three great golf courses at reasonable rates for Marriott guests.

Just returned from a week at the Manor Club. Typical MVCI amenities and the grounds are beautiful. This is a very classy resort and is not huge---all amenities are in easy walking distance no matter where your villa is located.

The area has lots of things to do. Busch Gardens, water park, and ghost tour of Williamsburg were our top three favorites. Touring Williamsburg during the summertime heat is not advisable--go at night or early in AM.

Golf at Manor Club was great and so was dinner at the Grille Room.

This is our second stay at the Manor Club and will return again. We own in Grande Vista (Orlando) and really enjoy our trades into different vacation club locations.

You cannot miss---if you choose this location-- GREAT ! ! ! !

This is a classic Marriott Resort.

Colonial Williamsburg is the reason to visit. We have exchanged to this property on five occasions.

Least preferred is the heat and humidity of the summer. December is a real treat - Colonial Williamsburg is decked for the Governor's holiday. A three- five day Colonial Williamsburg pass or the annual pass is recommended.

Nearby Norfolk, Jamestown, and Yorktown provide historical accuracy.

We have never participated in any of the amusement centers or "kid-type" restaurants.

Best visited by the historical literati.

Very nice property for those who are above the Disney ilk and the beach set. Probably not a good choice for young parents, the ill informed, and those w limited driving skills.

We traded into this resort over the Thanksgiving holiday and were very pleased. Lovely facilities and lots of planned activities for all ages. About a 20-25 minute drive to Colonial Williamsburg. You do need a car if you stay here.

They say first impressions are lasting impressions...

We stayed the week of September 11 - 18 in 2004. Upon arrival, we found trash strewn around on the sidewalk in front of our unit. Apparently, someones bag broke on the way to the dumpster. No problem, except that it was still there 3 days later! The cleaning staff left much to be desired.

Otherwise, the facilities are beautiful, with a colonial motif. It is tucked away in Ford's Colony, so it is very quiet and serene. Ask to stay in the original section, as the newer section just looks like "regular" condos.

I'm not a golfer, but some in our group were, and they said that the course at Ford's Colony was great. My wife used the spa facilities, and said that it was a good experience. The concierge was also very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the area.

There were some minor problems while there - the grilles were in poor shape, and the activities director did not follow-thru with some promised items. I followed up with a comment card to the resort manager, and never got a reply from them. That surprised me!

I guess being a Marriott owner (home resort is Cypress Harbor), tends to raise my expectations...

If you are a history buff, this would be a great place to stay while visiting Williamsburg. Also, they do an all day Washington DC bus tour right from the resort. It was GREAT!

Excellent resort conveniently located to Colonial Wiliamsburg, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. Also very near loads of family orientated restaurants such as Chili's, Rudy Tuesday's, etc. Grounds were well maintained with plenty of room to throw a football around or have a catch. Resort activities were numerous, especially for the kids. Villas were nicely appointed and spacious. The one negative aspect to our stay were the paper thin mattresses on our beds. We were told they were in the process of upgrading all the mattresses in the building we stayed in. If you're going to stay here, ask for a room with a "pillowtop mattress" if you enjoy a firm bed.

Outstanding resort with exceptional attention to detail. The architecture and furnishings reflect Colonial Williamsburg perfectly. The villas, public areas, and grounds are extremely attractive and well maintained.

The swimming pools are not as grand as at some Marriott resorts, but this is more than compensated for by the large, luxurious villas and superb decor.

All in all, the finest place to stay in Williamsburg, and one of the very best resorts in the MVCI system.

All the amenities as well as the accomodations were as advertised. A little hard to find at night, but that may be due to the road construction in Ford's Colony.

Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

The only downside is a lack of internet availablity. Bring your own dialup ISP. Local phone calls are $.75 each. They are in the process of installing broadband. I do not know if it is to be in all the rooms, or just some hot spots.

What a beautiful setting. Everything was wonderfully kept up. We stayed in the newer section right beside the pool. No problems whatsoever.

Our family stayed here during spring break in April. Lovely, spacious rooms plus plenty to do in the area. Children-friendly activities during the day, beautiful grounds, plenty of parking. Indoor pool was small & disappointing. Great children's playground on-site. Great golf, too!

I enjoyed my stay here - but it is not close to any of the historical places - you must have a car....Be prepared to drive to Bush Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown - or just about anything.

this is a beautiful resort.

If you golf - it would be wonderful.

The physical layout is limiting- if you are in Phase II you must drive or walk a bit of a distance to get to the Marketplace, main pools or activities. The personnell do not have a commitment to service. They do execute their duties, but they are mostly resentful (highly unusual for a Marriott).

the units themselves are the standard Marioot excellent quality and the resort is lovely.

Excellent- probably one of the nicest T/S in the USA. All Manor Club (Sequal is different) units are furnished in full Federal type furnishings- solid woods, including Cherry or Mahagony- a division of American of Martinsville was manufacture. Full kitchen, 2 beds & 2 full baths (some ara bigger), fireplace in a beautiful brick federal building.

Compass Club for kids, trips to DC planned, full gym, and if you are lucky enough to possess a Marriott Owners Card, you will get 6 rounds of golf free at the Fords Colony Golf Club (attached to the T/S units). You must show card at checkin. Bike rentals also available.

The Fords Colony also has an excellent (but pricey) resturant- one of the only 5 stared in VA. This is a short walk from your unit. You may forget to visit the HIstoric section of Williamsburg-

Educators (any level incl admin & university) go to buy tixs at main bldg from Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and tix is one free with one....not offered at the T/Ss or hotels. Also take free 'cruise' to Scotland & try the resturant about 4 miles down the road. Think calles Suffolk House (??)

Superb resort in an excellent golf course location in a city with a wide choice of family oriented facilities. Manor Club offers both indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, sauna, etc. The units meet all standards expected in a Marriott resort.
