Loved this beautiful well maintained all inclusive (optional) Gold Crowne resort on what is known to be one of the nicest beaches on Cozumel.
Love this resort since the best of world famous reef is just a short boat ride off the pier (not a 50 minute boat ride like from town). Great pools (3) and dive shop. TOO many tiki bars to remember!! Food, activities and entertainment were GREAT!

We just returned back from a wonderful family vacation at the Reef Club, Cozumel.
The timeshare units are set in 4 buildings located on a private section of the resort (not far from the Scuba Diving operation ... Sand Dollar Sports).
The two bedroom units are a Studio and a One Bedroom unit (attached). The One Bedroom side has a privacy bedroom, combination living room (with sleep sofa) dining area, small kitchenette (no stove, but does have a microwave), nice size bathroom and a private jacuzzi on the outside deck. The Studio side has a queen bed and sleep sofa, sitting area, and bathroom. Each side also has easy to operate air conditioning system and a computerized safe for your valuables. One thing missing from the rooms is an alarm clock. We were aware of this before we went, so we brought our own. We also made sure that we had a wake-up call each morning ... in case the electricity went out at night.
The resort has 3 swimming pools. One is a private pool for the timeshare section. The second pool is the activities pool (with music and games - our kids had a great time) which is surrounded by the outdoor eating area, 2 bars, indoor buffet eating area, the beach and the lobby. The third pool is an "adults only" pool with a swim-up bar.
The beach is large and clean, with plenty of beach chairs and straw umbrellas. There also are non-motorized water sports, beach volley ball, tennis courts, etc.
We arrived early and weren't able to immediately check in, but we were invited to have lunch, etc. by the pool. Our rooms were available when we finished lunch. We were two families, and the resort staff did there best to make sure that our two 2-bedroom units were in the same building (in fact, we were next-door to each other). Check-in was easy, quick and efficient.
Staff was cordial and friendly throughout our stay ... they couldn't be nicer. Activities are provided every evening, and we met many owners and guests who return often.
Scuba diving is easy to arrange as the Reef Club has an excellent dive operation (Sand Dollar Sports) on-site. Eight of us were divers and they easily accomodated us on our dives. In fact, on many occasions, the dive master asked us if we had any special places we wanted to visit. The dive masters were tops.
Additional activities can also be booked through the resort. You can windsurf or rent wave runners, etc.; take a tour of the city and/or Mayan Ruins; rent a car; and much, much more. All you need to do is ask. The resort is a little remote from the city, so if you plan on going to the city, plan it around a tour of the island and the Mayan Ruins.
Food at the resort varies. There is a Buffet Restaurant and two other restaurants.
For breakfast, the buffet is very nice. Eggs are made-to-order (if you wish), and the selection is bountiful.
Lunch is available at a poolside/outdoor area or the buffet section. The lunch buffet includes fresh fruit and vegetables (including artichoke, asparagus, mushrooms, hearts of palm, etc.). I can't recall staying at a timeshare resort with such an extensive fruit/vegetable selection.
Dinner is another story. We tended to stay away from the Buffet Restaurant for dinner. It really wasn't too good for dinner (outside of the fresh fruit and vegetables). For dinner, we made reservations at either of the two "plated" restaurants. One restaurant is Italian Fare and the other is International Fare. We ate at these restaurants for Dinner (almost exclusively), and had excellent meals each evening. Just make sure that you make reservations (early) for these restaurants ... they book fast. Even though there appears to be plenty of seating, the resort intentionally limits the seating so that you have a pleasant dining experience.
I give high marks to the Reef Club. It is a well maintained full-service resort that will provide a wonderful vacation experience ... especially if you are a scuba diver.

Reef Club is an all - inclusive resort which is great for families. It is a 15 minute taxi ride from downtown area, which means it's away from the boat crowds, but yet convenient to get to. Car rental available on site. There are plenty of activities for the kids, and there is no problem with letting them have their freedom around the resort. Food was good, drinks average for all inclusive. Beach is a little rocky, but makes for great snorkeling right there at the resort.
