Ron Jons has an average service level. The resort has a nice pool area and beach although the long distance between them was poorly planned.
Renters should be aware that the resort caters to its owners only. If you are renting oceanfront you will likely be placed on the second floor where there is a view of the ocean but not of the shore/beach. There is a vegetated dune area between that limits your view.

I have owned a time share in Ocean City Maryland for the past 20 years. This was the first time I switched out and went away. I am a single mother of a 17 yr old son. This place had something for us both. He had a blast ( even though he brought no freinds with him ) joining in playing Volleyball and playing basketball.
IAs far as the Customer service It was great. I had a problem after checking in with my bank card through miscommunication. Called down the very next morning and Spoke to Nicole explained the situation and she took care of it IMEDIATELY with no problem.
I have heard people have complained about their bedding. Well let me just say this. You are not at home! I have a spine and neck disorder and I would still go back. But I will bring my own pillow.LOL

This is a top-notch resort. Very roomy and all the comforts of home and then some. The pool area is phenominal, and the kids had a blast. We visit a couple times per year and have yet to find a resort as nice as this one. It's nice to have so many things to do. We spent the day at the beach and then also spent a lot of time at the expansive pool area. The movie theater shows recent movies for the entire family--we brought our own sodas and popcorn! The kids LOVE the indoor play area. The casual restaurant was a hit too. They even offered poolside beverages. It's also very close to the theme parks (Disney, Universal, SeaWorld)...just an hour away. And, the staff was always friendly and accommodating.

Good for Kids/Teens and family. Not an adults singles resort.

Beach is beautiful and the rooms are roomy and nice. We just stayed in a two bedroom over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had a great view. My 6 and 7 year old boys thought the waterslide was boringly slow and that there were too many silly rules (I agree). The staff is curt and unfriendly. We ran out of toilet paper and were told we had to go buy our own.....I would not recommend this place to a friend simply because of the ridiculous rules and the staff unfriendliness.

We are local to Ron Jon Cape Caribe and after one visit decided to become owners. What a terrific place for families! There are enough activities onsite (waterpark, pool volleyball, poolside games & contests, crafts, "discovery zone" type play area, movie theater, mini-golf, arcade, cruiseship watching, balloon man) to keep the family busy but a nice quiet beach when you want some peace and quiet. We love that the friendly staff is also on task at keeping kids from getting out of hand and annoying to other guests (when their own parents don't do it). I highly recommend this for families.

We stayed at this Resort for one week in April. The resort was beautiful and our condo was great! Here's what I didn't like: We asked for an oceanfront unit (thinking we would "see" the ocean), we didn't. We were on the 2nd floor and the only floors you could actually see the ocean from was 4th and up. Needless to say, we didn't like our view of thick trees and bushes off our balcony. Second thing I thought could be better was the friendliness of the staff. Very impersonal and curt. And that was everyone (including the bartenders at the poolside Tiki bar). The only friendly people were other guests and the salespeople trying to sell time shares.

We stayed at Ron Jon's for 5 weeks in March of 2005. The place is great. We own 3 lockout units and split them to have the 5 weeks. We were in the small, sleep 4 side (and it is small) and we were in the sleep 6 side which is much nicer. We also had 1 week that our son and his family stayed with us and we used both sides (sleeps 10). We enjoyed every week and our grandchildren are still talking about it and want to know when they can go back. The amenities are the best the we have found at any of the timeshares we have stayed at. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The different units we stayed in where on different floors and most of the time they where great. The only problem was a unit near the elevator and maintenace rooms was a little noisy. We are looking forward to going back next year.

Spent April 22-28 ant the Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort. It is a wonderful resort. Pool complex was excellent and was bothered by no one. Must try the burgers and jerk chicken wings! Asked just once about a tomeshare tour, kindly said "no" and was not bothered again. Family played Bingo in the afternoon, poolside by the Tiki bar. Don't forget happy hour is between 4-7pm daily!
We had a 2 bedroom Oceanside room. Very spacious and clean. Only drawback was that we were on the 1st floor so we didn't have much of a view. Beach was fantastic. Very wide and clean. Golfed at the Savannahs on Merrit Island. Great course and prices. Go to the"Grill's by Seaside" restaurant great food, good prices and kid friendly. Would recommend Ron Jon to everyone!!

Just returned from Ron Jon's resort. After spending one stressful week our family will not be returning.
Lets just say if you are a family that goes on vacation to relax, get away from the stress of schedules this is not the resort for you.
The kids activities lets just say our children did not get to do one. You have to sign up 24 hours in advance. I dont know about you but when I go on vacation I have no idea what time we are getting up or what we are doing from day to day. The movie theater. The three times we rushed dinner so the kids go they changed the movie. THEN you have the POOL NATZI the person who comes around daily to check to see if you have your pool tag on. Needless to say after being harressed by the Natzi I spoke with the manager and the POOL Natzi left us alone and I did not have to wear the tight elastic pool band around my wrist. Then we have hours of operation. I know this when we are on vacation we like to spend the day at the pool and then go out for a nice dinner and hit the pool when we return. NOT at Ron Jon's the pool closes at 10!
Then do we want to comment on the maintance crew? It took 4 men to figure out why the dryer in our unit was not working. After I told them for 3 days that it is taking 3 hours to dry 2 cotton shirts and have them tell me it was working. This wonderful ( FINALLY) young man came and said the fan is installed wrong switched it and what do you know our clothes dried.
The units themselves were very nice. We had a two bedroom overlooking the inlet so we could see the ships come in and out. (Our friends were in the Studio very small small small) The beach which is only a two minute walk ( or take the trolly) is wonderful.
If you are going on vacation to relax Ron Jon's is not the resort for you. One other thing that was to much were the sales people. No I am not interested means NO!
Having stayed at many RCI resorts. Ron Jon's by far was our least favorite.
We went to Ocean Walk in Daytona the week before, now that is a wonderful resort all around! GO OCEAN WALK!

This resort is absolutely fabulous. We just got back last week. There is just so much to do you never have to leave the resort if you don't want to.
Cape Canveral is right beside the resort so you can sit on the balcony and watch all the cruise ships come and go. shirley

Our family stayed at this resort for a period of two weeks June of 2004. We could not ask for anything better to suit our needs. We are booked for another two weeks in 2005.Just received confirmation for our stay June 29th thru July 8th, Can't wait.Just returned from two great weeks at Cape Caribe Resort. This was our second year and must say improvements over 2004 were great. The person above that gave a poor rating, was most likely the type that left her kids run wild which they put up with the first year but put a stop to same this year. Anything a family would want on a vacation is here. I have already booked for 2006. CHET2 Chet

We spent a week end at this resort for my grandaughter's 14th birthday. We had a wonderful time and never left the premises. My family loved the 2 bedroom unit and the pool area. The pool bar was great for snacks and poolside frufru drinks. The live entertainment encouraged audience participation at the pool, and you couldn't help but enjoy the music. We will definately be staying again, hopefully for at least a week. The units were beautifully furnished, clean, and large enough for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. The staff is very friendly. The garage parking is great ..........keeps the car much cooler.

We live 5 minutes from this resort and bought it to use 365 days a year. It's a great resort on a great beach. It's right next to Port Canaveral where you will find some great restaurants and approx 45 minutes from the theme parks. It has a fantastic children's pool and children't room with babysitting available. The only downside is that the on-site restaurant could be better. But it is so close to so many affordable places to eat and supermarkets that you would want to try the local fare anyway!
