Stayed here in July as an Hilton HGVC exchange, and really enjoyed it. Although we had a one bedroom unit, it was large enough for the two of us. Fold down comfy queen Murphy bed, and small but usable kitchen.
Great facility, staff very helpful (Rica, at the front desk is a gem!), and close to town, mountain hikes out the back door, and biking , etc.
We love Breck in the summer as well as the winter! Heated, underground garage is a plus in the winter, although I'm told that it can get very crowded in the winter.
All-in-all, a great town, and a superb destination facility!

We just returned from a week here that we bought on redweek.com. lovely resort and 2 bedroom unit. Our only complaint would be that the units are not air-conditioned, and with ours facing east, it got very warm if we didn't keep the bedroom windows open 24 hours a day. Of course that meant we had to leave the curtains open so we had sunlight streaming in at 6 am. The living room had no windows that opened, so it was quite warm every morning. We were lucky to have a unit that had a private hot tub on our patio - great after a day of hiking. Easy walk to Main Street dining and shopping. We did not do a property tour. Conceirge was very helpful in setting up activities in the area. Members room with bar, pool and foosball, and board games was a nice place to have a drink with our kids before going to dinner.

This was our second stay at the Valdoro. We checked in to our 3BR unit for week 52 without any delays. The check in process took about 5 minutes. Upon check in we were greeted with a welcome gift (for owners) two 16 oz coffee mugs with Valdoro logo with packets of flavored instant coffee and chocolate stir in spoons (nice touch!) After we were handed our unit keys we drove into Valdoro's heated underground parking (key required) where we were met by a bell boy who helped us with our luggage. The unit itself was exactly the way we remembered it from the previous year, spacious, tastefully furnished with every luxury amenity you expect from a high end resort. We were especially pleased to see that the upkeep and maintenance was done with diligence and the unit still looked brand new! This unit sleeps eight and has two master suites each with king size beds and a guest room with two twin beds. The living area has a queen size sleeper sofa. Both master suites have a large bathroom featuring a two-person jetted tub and a separate glass-enclosed walk in shower with massaging shower head. The bathrooms have granite slab counters and italian ceramic tile floors. Each bathroom is fully stocked with basic amenities and a vanity kit as well as a hairdryer. There is a plush bathrobe for each person in the unit and terry slippers (you can purchase the bathrobe for $50) There is one in-room safe in the unit which we all shared. This unit has a fully-equipped extra-large kitchen with granite counters, cherry cabinets w/ glass doors, stainless steel appliances, island with counter seating (leather top stools) and italian ceramic floors.. Haven't seen any of the 1BR or 2BR units, but the kitchens there might be smaller. We actually cooked every breakfast and dinner during our 7 nite stay and were very happy with the functionality of the kitchen and quality of china, silverware and kitchenware. This is definitely a gourmet kitchen. One night we grilled burgers and chicken on the resort's commercial size gas grill off the lobby.. My husband, a fanatic griller, claims it was fun even in sub-freezing temperatures! The living area is off the kitchen and the walnut dining room table and chairs seat 6. The Living Room has a CO fieldstone gas fireplace (we didn't use it much.. the unit gets very warm even with the thermostat off) The furniture is Ralph Lauren and very comfortable and inviting. The entertainment center holds 32" screen TV with HBO and various cable channels. There is also a VCR and DVD player in the living area. The other bedrooms also each have their own 25 inch TV sets (we especially like the extra TVs.. no one can agree what show to watch in our household!) There are cable/data hook-ups for those who can't set aside their laptops for the week. This unit also has a balcony (I understand some 2br or 1br units don't) There is a stack large capacity washer and dryer (HGVC also offers same-day laundry and dry cleaning if you don't want to wash and fold!) The washer/dryer comes with Tide and Bounce which can be replenished upon request (as well as Cascade and Palmolive dish liquid for the kitchen.) Owners automatically get a mid week cleaning where sheets and towels are changed. One note about the sheets.. these are possibly the most comfortable beds you could sleep in with European style down comforters and pillows. The Sofa bed in LR is not the greatest but then again I've yet to find one that is. The lodge amenities and services are as complete as the unit amenities. We didn't use everything but I will quickly run through them. The one thing we used a lot was the Ski Concierge service! Upon check-in, the bell staff checked our skis and boots. Every morning on the way to the slopes, we picked up our warmed boots in the Lobby ski storage and headed to the slopes on foot or on the free shuttle (a 3 minute ride). Ski tuning and waxing (complimentary) can also be arranged through the Ski Concierge. There is also a traditional Concierge Desk who actually contacted us prior to our arrival to determine our needs like grocery stocking etc. (we opted not to use the service). The Concierge provides information, can book your reservations or arrange activities around the county. We made all our own arrangements and spent most of our time on the mountain. We did get free sleds for our two nine year olds from the Concierge and headed to Carter Park on the shuttle (great sledding hill!) By the way the Shuttle will take you anywhere and pick you up. Most of the vendors in town call the shuttle for you when you are ready to head back. The only reason to ride the shuttle is if it's unbearably cold.. we walked the two blocks to Main street most of the time. One day we also took the free Breckenridge bus which stops directly in front of Valdoro. Off the Valdoro lobby is a Great Room with comfortable leather furniture around a stone- lined fireplace. This is a good place to rendezvous and every morning you can get complimentary coffee and tea. New this year, in the Lobby they've added a computer and 18" flat screen with high speed internet for the use of Valdoro guests (it's free and the suggested time limit is 15 mins per session) Also on the main level is a Members Lounge & Bar offering a full bar and light snacks. Again this lounge is centered around a large fireplace and has a big-screen TV, pool table and a variety of other games. Here they have a bunch of scheduled events some free and others requiring a fee...Wine-tasting, Grill Nite, Happy Hour, Sushi & Suds, Live Entertainment.. we didn't go to any of these.. too tired from our days of skiing and preferred to veg out in our unit! The Valdoro has a nice Spa which consists of two single private spa treatment rooms, a luxurious couples spa room, with private tables for two, fireplace, two-person jetted tub and steam shower along with his and hers saunas. It offers therapists and aestheticians, for massage, hot stone treatments, aromatherapy, European facials, hand and foot warm paraffin treatment, or ancient Ayurvedic scalp massage. Adjacent to the Spa are two outdoor oversized hot tubs with views of Baldy Mountain. There is also a nearby heated pool shared with another resort which is open year round. We did use the pool but it was a huge production. I wouldn't recommend it in the winter (you have to walk in the snow and it's no fun when you are wet and cold!) The Valdoro has a good size Fitness Center which is open daily, 7am-10pm, offers state-of- the-art free weights, treadmills, stair climbers, recumbent bikes and mens and womens locker rooms with towel service. My husband used it everyday and had no complaints (he's really picky with work out equipment!) Finally, for the kids there is an Arcade Center with a variety of games. The Valdoro also has a Gift Shop for sundries. We had a great week and can't wait to go back.. One time we'd like to try it in the summer, I understand it's a whole different experience. We would definitely rate this resort a 10!

Beautiful place and great service within 2 blocks of the lifts. Shuttle service was provided and very prompt. We stayed there as a guest of the resort to sell us a timeshare and although we loved the place the price was a little out of our budget.
