Lawrence Welk Resorts Mountain Villas

We have stayed there for spring break every year for the past three years. We love it. Great with the kids. Great weather, safe and clean.

We spent a week at Welk’s Mountain Springs villas during August 2010, and it was great! Everything was almost perfect. Villas are new (build in 2009), very clean, shower has very good pressure, jacuzzi tub was nice, mattress, blankets and pillows were very comfortable. I brought my own pillow and blanket and it turned out I didn’t need them. Noise level is minimum; we didn’t hear anyone even though people lived in the units next to us. Only in the last 2 days we heard family with lots of kids upstairs. We were close to the pool and didn’t need to drive, which was very convenient. Water slide was nice and not too fast, my 6 y.o. had so much fun at the splash zone. There was also so much to do there during the day. We rented fishing poles and bought bait and went to Welk’s fishing lake to fish one afternoon, visited their famous theater to see family comedy and magic show (we laughed so hard!), roasted marshmallows at the fire pit, watched dive in movies, participated in Festival under the stars with DJ, food, wine tasting and crafts for kids, farmers market was very nice. We ate at Grill Canyon twice, I would give it 3 stars, they could have more variety of dishes, but it was still nice and very convenient. The only thing we didn't like is check out time - 10 am (too early for us, late sleepers) + we were rushed. At 9:59 am there was a pounding at the door, and cleaning people said something like, "You're still here?"... Also, since we were on the 1st level, we had to drag everything down, and there is no elevator! Good thing one of the cleaning guy helped me to get my suit case out. Drag it downstairs is kinda OK, but upstairs.... hmmm... almost impossible for such a weak woman like me :-) But we’ll definitely be back again.

Amazing property. Great for kids. Excellent exchanging property.

Excellent facilities. Well maintained. Staff very responsive. Stayed one week and plan to return. There is a full time Dentist and Physician on grounds. They have regular practice for community residents but are available to guests of the resort. Also have a Farmer's Market one day per week on grounds.

A great resort in a very good location, can't say anything negative,just beware of the sales pitch. Escondido is close and has what you need for everyday supplies. We've been to more then 15 resorts,most Gold Crown and this was the best.
