Located on a stretch of pedestrian-only beach, and sharing space with the 80,000 square foot Ocean Walk Village complex, staying at Wyndham Ocean Walk is like two vacations in one. Walk outside the resort doors and you're on the world's most famous beach. Step next door and you're at Ocean Walk Shoppes, a three-level entertainment complex featuring restaurants, theaters, and specialty shops.
On-site at Wyndham Ocean Walk you'll find four pools with a water slide, pool bar, Lazy River, kiddie pool, kid's Interactive Aquatic Center with "Jungle Jim" and small slide, putting green, and "Get Out & Play" activities program. Indoor activities include an arcade, pool table, nine-hole mini golf course, exercise facility, and spa.
The Daytona Beach area is best known for its 23 miles of wide beaches and NASCAR racing. But that's just for starters. There are downtown historical areas to be explored, deep sea fishing and diving, and hundreds of other recreational activities. Along the many winding waterways you're likely to see wild dolphins, jumping fish, and graceful water birds. It's all here just waiting to be discovered.

I stayed a week in this resort July 1st to the 8th 2011 if it wasn't for the weather it would of been the worst place I had ever been to. We didn't get the condo we were told we were going to get. We were suppose to have ocean front and we got ocean view. Our balcony was infested with wasps so there times of the day we could not go out there. They wouldn't spray because they said they wouldn't be responsible if we got sick, but no one cared if we got stung. The table in dining room was so unsteady. They sent someone who told us to put it against the wall to stabalize it. My husband moved it and one half of the base fell to the floor it wasn't connected to the top of the table The air conditioning broke and it was 80% in the condo at one point. They did fix it. Then one night we were going to take a shower and there was no water. When it did finally come back hours later all it did was spit for days. There was never enough tables or chase lounges even if you go to the pool at 7am There was a big hole in the back of the master bedroom door and the ceiling light in the dinning room was missing screws. Only two burners on the stove worked. Ants infested our kitchen all the food on the counter had to be thrown out. I have written to the resort twice and have not gotten any response. Another plus was location and the bellman PAUL the greatest, most helpful person I ever met.

Just returned from a weeks stay here. The location is good...loved the little shopping/restaurant area that is next door..you really don't have to drive anywhere. You can just walk next door. The pools were nice...not overly crowded. Loved closeness to beach. Was a little aggravated at checkin though...got there at 10:30 PM on Sunday night and had to wait 30 min on a luggage cart before we could get to our room. Apparently they must lock them up at night and only have a couple avail to use (you even had to leave your Dr. License when you picked up the cart and then they returned to you when you dropped cart back off, which I liked b/c you were not supposed to keep cart longer than one hour). We had a 1 BR and would have loved to at least had ocean view but all we had a view of was the parking garage. The 1 BR unit was actually much larger than other Wyndham units and for this I was very pleased. The king size bed...Wow, that had to be the most uncomfortable bed I have even tried to sleep on. The mattress says firm but firm was putting it mildly. I had the worst backache the whole time I was there. I even folded the comforter and blanket and put on top of the mattress trying to pad it so it didn't kill my hips and back!!! The day after arriving, we called down to the front desk b/c our ice maker was barely putting out any ice (it later quit completely) and several hours later, they delivered a bag of ice but never came and and fixed it. All in all, I would return (and would bring me a mattress topper) but would definitely make sure it was at least ocean view

We have just returned from the Wyndham Ocean Walk, and it was fabulous! We were in a unique situation in that we had three separate suites during our 5 night stay (don't ask!) This was due to our trying to economize and take advantage of a couple of short-stay specials we encountered through Ebay, etc.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom ocean front suite, and two different 2 bedroom ocean front suites. We traveled with 2 adults and 2-12 year old boys, so we thought that the 1 bedroom suite would not suffice. However, due to the generous dimensions of the unit, and the two sofas in the living area, we actually could have been comfortable there for our entire trip.
Of course the two bedroom suites were even better! The one in the North tower was gorgeous and had a connecting bedroom and living room balcony, but the guys were disappointed that there were no flat screen tvs in that unit. The two bedroom in the South Tower had flat screens in all of the rooms, which they loved!
The only sour note was that at our initial check-in on Saturday the 24th, we did notice some pretty irate guests whose accommodations were not what they expected based on the promises of third-party booking agencies. The front-desk staff was polite, but not able to make the desired changes.
However, for each of our three check-ins, we found them very helpful and willing to make adjustments to suit our unique needs (such as late check-outs from one unit and early check-ins to the other.) My husband did have to stay on top of the situation, however, because this is a very busy resort!! We highly recommend it, and intend to return next year.

We were there May of 2010, great location, good food. Security was by pool, checking wristbands and making sure the guests were not saving pool chairs for hours later. Will return again in the future :)

I just returned from a weeks stay at the Wyndham Ocean Walk for Bike Week in Daytona Beach. I had a wonderful time! The resort was clean and the staff were super helpful. I am already planning a return trip for Biketoberfest in October. I couldn't have asked for any nicer place to stay. I highly recommend this resort!
