Description

Inhale the heady fresh air of surrounding national forests at Wyndham Flagstaff, a 2,200-acre estate designed for all-season activities. On-site, the resort sports an 18-hole golf course and eight tennis courts, as well as pools--both indoor and outdoor. For the fishermen, a lake beckons 20 miles away, and riders can round up a horse and saddle much closer. Nearby is Flagstaff Athletic Club, offering free membership and access to indoor tennis, pools and racquetball. When snow falls, Arizona Snow Bowl’s ski slopes are ready for both downhill and cross-country enthusiasts. Add spectacular Grand Canyon to all this great outdoors enjoyment, just 80 miles north.

We managed to get roughly 5-6 weeks at this location during July and August. We had 2 RCI trades into a 2BR DX unit and the resort staff was able to keep us in the same unit the entire stay. Also enjoyed weekend stays in 2BR Plus' and 2BRLO (unit 7A/B) and then another 2-wk stay in a 2BR DX. We pretty much experienced all unit types! There are NO BAD units at this resort! The 2BR Plus' have a private hot-tub on the deck, are HUGE inside with an upstairs loft that can be used as a 3rd sleeping area.

There are flat screen TV's in most of the units except the 2BR+'s. The kitchens are all well-equipped and I was surprised at how efficient the kitchen was even in the studio side of the LO. The A/BLO (side-by-side) unit had a large jacuzzi tub off the master bedroom and the tri-level 2BR DX has a jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom downstairs. One of the units we stayed in was considered a handicap unit (we had a 93yo parent visiting us) that has a huge master bath with a lovely glass block shower and bench seat under the window large enough to take a nap on! The tri-level units have double beds in the 2nd bedroom and a king in the master suite downstairs. A/B LO have two king beds and the loft units have King Master, Queen Guest and 2 twins in the loft.

My younger sister and her family of 6 stayed a few days with us and we couldn't get the kids away from the Activities Center. There is so much for them to do on site. There is a Par 3 Pitch & Putt right on site that the boys just loved, $7/ea which included clubs for them! Continental Country Club is adjacent with killer golf rates for an 18hole Championship course!

To us, the best things about this resort is the staff. Flagstaff is very much a family friendly resort and the staff is delightfully accommodating! During Friday and Saturday check-in they usually have chocolate chip cookies and there is free WiFi in all the units! We enjoy going to Jotini's on the Green (at the Country Club), but there are plenty of great restaurants in the Flagstaff area.

Though everything was always to our liking in each unit we stayed, the resort staff checked with us at various times during our stays to make sure we were comfortable. Even the smallest request is fullfilled timely and with a pleasant attitude. Sales staff is very low-key at this location and do not pressure you.

There is no question we will be re-visiting this location often! It's one of our favorite places to be in the summer time! For as much time as we spent there this summer we never ran out of things to do. There were days that we just packed as much Nothing into the day that we could get and other days were go go go! We have never had a disappointing stay at this location.

This is a hard one. The area is lovely. The units vary. We were first assigned a unit on three levels. To get to it a series of steep steps first went down then up to the unit. The steps would not have been an issue if they had not been coated with ice and snow. The unit itself had multiple maintenance problems but was basically fine.

We were moved to a different unit after two nights and the staff was wonderful. They helped my husband move us in a snowstorm. The second unit was an attached home with two bedrooms and two baths on one floor and a spacious loft on the second floor. The unit was lovely.

So.o.o.o.o, as I stated this is a hard one. Our first unit would have been fine in a warmer season. I am very grateful that we were moved as the icy stairs were definitely a hazard.

Absolutely perfect vacation location for Northern Arizona. We stayed in March, 2008 and skied the Arizona Snowbowl, visited the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and wash canyons, all within short drives. The unit was large and had a private hot tub on the back deck which was cleaned 2 x week. It was one of our best vacation spots.

We go here all the time and love the spacious units and weather. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Just bought a second unit a week ago. When you live in Phoenix you really appreciate the cool breezes and the fragrant pine tree smell. We love to walk in the many areas available.

We ate at a restaurant called Brix last week and it was absolutely wonderful. We sat outside in a lovely setting and received excellent food and service. A little more expensive but it's worth it! We have been told that it's a highly-rated restaurant--and in such a small town that was a nice surprise.

We love our TS ownership here at FF Flagstaff! The units are nicely furnished and provide a lot of space. Our 2BR unit is in the Tanglewood Townhouse section, which are split/tri-level design. The 2nd bedroom is on the entry level, with two twin beds. Down the 1/2 flight of stairs is the master bedroom with a large jetted tub and the laundry (washer/dryer). Upstairs on the 1/2 flight above entry level is the full kitchen, a nice living room with balcony and dining room.

The kitchen is nicely furnished and there are plenty of TV's throughout. The fireplace in the living room adds nice ambiance.

Our particular unit (#303) overlooks the golf course and the SanFrancisco Peaks.

There are probably 8 or 10 US National Park sites within a reasonable day trip from Flagstaff, including one of the wonders of the world . . . The Grand Canyon!
