Each villa is two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, and the second bedroom has two full-sized beds. The living room has two twin-sized murphy beds. The units are apx 1500 square feet and very spacious. There is no pull out sofa in the living room. The did away with pull out sofas in The Royals properties when they went to the two twin-sized murphy beds.

We always have two villas for our family, which includes the four of us in my family, my brother & his wife and my mom and dad. We could all manage in one villa, but we think it is more of a vacation with two. :-)

Depending on the dynamics of the group and the number of people, you may be perfectly content with one villa.

We own at both the Sands and the Haciendas but haven't stayed at the Haciendas yet. We love the Royal Resorts and have coming there for 9 years. I do know that they will not allow 8 in a condo as they told me it was a fire regulation. Owners can request to have a 7th person and it costs an extra $125 for the week. Each person registered gets their own card which is good for charging at the store, bars and restaurants as well as a room key. If you are out late at night they ask to see your card when you return to the resorts in Cancun. Also, the villas come with only enough towels for 6 people. You will have a problem if they know you have 8 in a room.
